Hi everyone, it's my pleasure to be here, and it's amazing to engage in steemit promotion. Thanks to steem Alive for this wonderful opportunity. I would love to relate on how thrilling the experience is.

How it all started

I base in Lagos, but after visiting Imo state for a burial, I reached Aba, Abia state, where I grew up. My main aim of going to Aba was to collect Fliers, Flex, and T-shirts from @focusnow, the boss of steemalive, because me and @beautybb are planning to engage in the first road show in Lagos. While at his officeon Thursday, 23rd September, they told me they were just coming back from a road show promotion. I saw how happy and fulfilled they looked. I learned that Aba Steemians were going to engage in another road show promotion the following day. I was moved to join them to get the field experience.

I was among the first persons to turn up the following morning for the road show and after a while, we were set to go.. My friends @osolife and @focusnow were around so I was comfortable enough to make new friends among others, including @jokkystar, @ruggedangel, @marajah and others. We chose a location for the show and took off together.

The efforts we made

Since this was my first time of engaging in this, I carefully watched and followed @focusnow and others as they talked to the few first people, not long, I got the Gist and started talking to people about steemit. I think the young ones I talked with had a better chance of joining than the older people, because of their familiarity with smart phones and internet access.

Firstly, I met a young man who seemed interested and wanted to join, but he wasn't with his phone. I wanted to register him with my own device, but he refused due to reasons best know to him, then he decided to drop his whatsapp number to be contacted later. I also gave him the flier that describes steemit platform and he promised to follow up when he gets to his phone. Meanwhile, we even met some ABIA state polytechnic students doing rag day, and we introduced steemit to them and gave them the fliers. I caught some of my team mates on photo, talking to people, though none of them snapped me while I was talking.

I was able to talk to as many people as possible. At a point it started raining heavily, but guess what, the rain became an advantage for us because, we entered a large shelter where many people cane to wait for the rain, and we grabbed the opportunity to talk to virtually all of them.

My most relevant personal effort

It was a very busy and fulfilled morning.
I met a twin and introduced myself to them, they responded well, but when I started talking about steemit, they thought I was planning to scam them, one of them asked, "I hope this won't have a negative impact on my bank account?". I assured him as effectively as I could that steemit has nothing to do with his bank account apart from putting more money into it. They showed great interest and we discussed for a very long time. Along the line, I got them registered as @gatuegwu and @akaose. While I was registering them, @focusnow came and helped them understand basic things about steemit. They were very happy and promised to visit the Aba steemit office as soon as possible for further enlightenment. We took pictures together with the twin, and they left after the rain. I also tried to capture my fellow Steemians on photo while they were talking to others.

How it ended

We talked to many more people and successfully registered them. And finally the rain stopped and our time was up. We entered a nearby Fast food to refresh our bellies before going home.

Conclusion

Steem promotion is a goal, and I will always be grateful for this nice opportunity.
