Good day to my fellow steemalive friends. How was your day ? I want to tell you how mine was spent.

Morning Activities

I woke up by 6am to find out that it was raining heavily. Aware of this , i called my wife for our review of the daily text.

The text was taken from Romans 13:1 , which reminded us of the need to comply with the local authorities in reporting cases of child abuse.

We concluded with prayers and went back to sleep again since it was obvious that we were not going out for any reason(s) because it was raining cats and dogs.

After some sleep, my wife went to the kitchen to boil water for tea. Green tea precisely. She started a therapy of drinking green and honey lately.

We drank it, felt warm and waited to see if it would stop raining, but it didn't. Most of our morning period was spent sleeping because the rain called for it. We woke up again and it was still raining. She went to the kitchen again, this time not for another cup of tea, but to prepare food. She warmed the soup and made garri so that we can eat.

I enjoyed the food so much because it was hot and delicious. I alway do because shes a very good cook. Sometimes i jokingly tell her to open a restaurant so that she can put her cooking skills to full use. But she would tell me that as long as i enjoyed her cooking, her skills were in good use.

Afternoon And Evening Activities

In the afternoon we talked about how to repair our big generator set. We had consulted the repairer yesterday on the cost of repair. He told us that it take up to twenty-five thousand naira to get it fixed.

For four days now, we have not had power. So everything we have preserved in the fridge is now getting de- frozen. Something has to be done to restore power before its too late. So we resolved on how the generator would be fixed.

In the evening we joined our mid-week meeting via zoom. It starts by 5pm every friday. A 1:45 minutes program. It was very interesting and spiritually invigorating.

Parents were reminded to be of good examples to their children because children learn more from observation than by mere words.

By the end of the meeting our phone needed to be charged so we asked our gateman to switch on our smaller generator. Trying to put it on, he saw that there was no sufficient fuel to start it up. He later got the fuel and there was light to power up our appliances.

By 8pm we had unripe plantain and egg for dinner. And we watched our favorite soap opera know as Johdah & Arkbah. It an Indian soap opera shown at Zee world in Dstv channel 166. Thats basically all i can remember.

Conclusion

The rains are here again and there are reports of flooding in most places. Therefore, before going out of the house, check the weather report. Secondly, if the rain forces you to stay indoors make good use of it to have a nice time with your family.Thanks
