Hello. Greetings to the great steemians. It is indeed a great thing to be part of steemlive. I am also happy to participate in this very contest called 3 square meal. This because i love cooking and one cannot survive without eating.
Today being 20th September 2021, i'm going to share i made my 3 square meal here, which include making of my local soup called "Oha Soup".
Breakfast
Today i took tea, bread, and egg as my breakfast.
| To make tea, I first of all boil water, as the boiled, i pour the water in a cup |
| Then, with my teaspoon, i fetch tea an pour it in the hot water which is in cup |
| Then, i also fetch my milk and pour it in the same cup |
| I then use the same teaspoon and turn it properly. Now the tea is ready for drinking. |
So i cut my bread and also get my egg ready | |
The next thing i did is to enjoy my breakfast.
Lunch
This afternoon i prepared swallow with delicious Oha soup. Now let me show you how i made the soup.
Firstly, i bought my meat | |
Wash it properly and put it in a pot, then season the meat with curry powder, maggi, salt and onions | |
Then i cover the pot and wait for the meat to done. While i was waiting, i quickly brought out cocoyam | |
And boil it in my second gas cooker | |
It did not take much time the meat done and the cocoyam also done. Then i poured the cocoyam out of the hot water | |
I remove the back of the cocoyam, pour it in molter for pounding | |
I pound it very well so that there will be no seed inside. | |
As i'm done with the pounding, i added water in the pot that contain meat and wait a little for it to boil, immediately it start boiling, i add my red oil | |
Then i put the pounded cocoyam inside using my soup spoon | |
The next thing i did was that i cut my local seasonings called "okpeye and uziza", pound it together with my crayfish and pepper the pour it in the soup(okpeye) | |

More so, i add another local seasoning called " ogili"
followed by salt, and maggi.
Please take note: you are to add all seasoning according to your taste.
After adding all the ingredients, i cover the pot and wait for the cocoyam to dissolve. As it dissolve, then i put my stockfish | |
| As it continue boiling, i then cut my vegetable called "Oha leave" |
| After cutting it, i washed it and pour it in the pot of soup |
| allow it to steam for some minutes and the turn it and the soup is done. |
Immediately the soup is done, i the put another pot on fire to make my swallow. As the water boiled, i first of all small semo and mixed with code water | . |
Then pour it in the pot and turn it, as it continue boiling, i pour another semo inside and turn it properly. | |
Add small hot water and allow it for some minutes and turn again | |
Now the food is done, i pour it out
and the food is ready for eating.
Dinner
Today i decided to prepare porridge unripe plantain as my dinner. The followings are what i used in making the unripe plantain porridge:
Crayfish | |

Steps in making the porridge
Bring your unripe plantain | |
Remove the back of the plantain | |
Slice the plantain into small pieces | |
Wash the plantain thoroughly | |
And put it in a pot for cooking | |
Pour water on it, cover it, put the pot on fire and allow it to start boiling.
When it start boiling very well, then, add your maggi (to your taste), the quantity of the food will determine the quantity of maggi and other ingredient to put.
Add your salt | |
The salt is also to your taste.
Pound pepper and crayfish and put | |
Then, the next step is to add my stuck fish | |
So, after adding the stuck fish, i add red oil | |
As i add the red oil, i covered the pot and wait a little for the food to be done. As soon as the food is done, i add my sliced vegetable and wait a little for the vegetable to steam. | |
Immediately the vegetable steam, i then turn the food and now the porridge is ready | |
The next thing is that i dished the food in a plate and start enjoying it. | |
Waw, so tasty.
I spent #5150 to prepare all the dishes thats equivalent to 22.2 steem
