ProWriters Hub Week 5: My Food Diary For The Week 12/11/2022
Hola all, welcome to my blog. Trust you all are doing great? Today I will be sharing the five meals I enjoyed within the week. Join me.
Meal 1: Breakfast: Porridge Plantain
Unripe plantain is a good source of iron and dietary fiber, it's healthy, nutritious and it's a great meal for breakfast. Moreover it's one of my favorite foods and I like eating it because it helps in balancing my carbs intake. As usual I, @luchyl was the one who prepared it and I really enjoyed it.
The Make Up of The Meal
Getting the meal together, I used Unripe plantain which I bought for ₦500, every other ingredients like pepper, vegetable, salt, dry fish, onion, crayfish was already available at home.
Meal 2: Lunch: Beans With Garri
Beans with garri is another great meal I enjoyed this week and it was for lunch. The chef was myself, @luchyl.
The Make Up of The Meal
Beans is a source of carbohydrates, dietary fibre, protein etc and it's healthy for the body. I like this meal because it provided the essential nutrients which my body needed.
The meal costed ₦500 to prepare and it has in it vegetable, pepper, salt, palm oil, crayfish, ginger, onion
Meal 3: Breakfast: Plantain With Egg Sauce
Having eaten plantain porridge earlier in the week, I needed a change of diet so I @luchyl, opted to prepare this simple yummy meal for breakfast, and I enjoyed it.
The Make Up of The Meal
There's half ripe plantain, egg, tomato, onion, salt, vegetable oil, pepper and to add a little flavor, I added ginger and garlic to it too. I spent ₦400 in the preparation because I had some ingredients at home.
Meal 4: Dinner: Vegetable/Ugba Soup With Garri
Oh! my garri of life how I missed you. I was seriously craving for you so I had to prepare this yummylicious vegetable/ugba soup (low budget ofe Owerri) to eat you and of course you didn't disappoint as you quenched my hunger, and craving. You gave me all the nutrients that my body needs to be healthy. I really enjoyed the time spent with you 😂.
The Make Up of The Meal
In the meal, you will find *ugba, ugu, onion, dry fish, stockfish, pepper, palm oil, crayfish, seasoning cube, salt and finally the wonderful life saver, garri. I spent ₦2,500 in preparing the meal.
Meal 5: Dinner: Akara With Pap
On the last food diary I posted, I told you about a woman who sells akara at my parent’s neighborhood, that akara can tempt someone eh!. I passed by her shop this evening and the smell just entered my nose and I was hooked so I had to buy some for dinner. The pap was made by me.
The Make Up of The Meal
The meal is made up of akara, pap plus other ingredients that were used in preparing the akara, and the cost is ₦250
I like this meal because it is light, balanced and delicious.

What an excellent food dairy. I cannot love your images enough. From the thumbnail to the meal images, they are clear and very well arranged. If you edit your images, that is nice keep it up. My favourite here is the plantain with sauce. Although I would prefer unripe plaintain. I usually eat unripe since plantain is one of the few foods that is not carbohydrate in nature.

I equally enjoy unripe plantain but you know sometimes the plantain might get ripened so one has to improvise.
