Going through social media everyday, you see people you call your mates wearing nice clothes, showing off car keys, some snap pictures in really nices places and you start feeling bad that your supposed mates are doing better than you.

Pause for a while, think about this; what if they borrowed clothes to show off? What if the car keys are just for display? What if they just went to those nice restaurants and places to snap pictures without purchasing anything? What if they don't own any of those nice things?.

Look let me tell you, I know a couple of girls that actually have nice clothes, shoes and bags, nice hairs and good camera phones, but that's all they have. They have no savings, no investments, some don't even have a degree just nice clothes. They make posts eveey single day on social media with the hash tag #living_my_best_life when they cannot boast of 3 square meals a day or a tangible source of income.
Some lady will see these posts and start feeling like she's not doing well for herself when she has this business she just started, there's this online or offline training she paid for to acquire some knowledge, she was the one that saw herself through school, she pays her rent herself and pays all her bills herself.

Dont get it twisted, I am not saying having nice clothes or having the urge to get nice things for yourself is bad, No. All I am saying is that you shouldn't compare your level of progress with others because everyone has secret battles they fight. You are doing well!

Instead of channelling your energy towards thinking that your mates have overtaken you, I advice you focus on the places you are lacking and try to improve yourself. Theres this mobile game I play called "candy crush", it has something called a leader board where ypu can see who got the highest score if your mobile data is on, you will see people ahead of you, but if you dont switch on your mobile data you will see that you are the first person and the only person on that leader board.

You should see life in this perspective, don't envy people because you think they are doing better based on what you see when you put on upur mobile data, put it off, focus on the real real things around you, the real things you've done for yourself, the real achievements you've made. Challenge yourself to be better, take up that course, start that business, push yourself to be better than you were last month and see yourself doing better than those people you see when you put on your mobile data.
