Today being a world photography day, is a remarkable day in the history of photography to photographers and the world at large.
The number one image maker is God. God created man in his own image and likeness. But he has given man the knowledge to keep memories here on earth through the photographers.
Photographers are image makers as photography started far back 1930s. At this stage, it was the analogue camera that was involved. But even that that, the means of keeping memories were still recognized by the image makers (photographers).
The world is marking today as world photography day and we the Ikom/Etung professional photographers are joining the world in celebration this 19th day of August, 2022.
I am so happy for this day as a remarkable day of memory of the image makers. I never knew that today will go this far.
All photographers came out in mass and took part in the event and this make the event so colourful.
The picture above are members of the high table and invited guest of honor who came to celebrate with us the photographers for this remarkable day of memories.
This event was announce through the mass media /radio in order to make sure that the event is made public to everyone.
Even the radio carried it, we still went out and rally round the town to create awareness of what is taking place today.

The road show added beauty to the ceremony and make it look more attractive ever as before. Main while the MC was telling people to find time and come the the event venue at St. Peter Catholic church through ogoja road.
Today was full of merriment as there were enough food and drinks for all who find time to come and celebrate with us.
Awards were given to people including the elderly state men for their hard work and support for the Union.
The chairman of the union equally gave gift out to X - excuse in the house.

It was a remarkable day indeed, I remember one photographer during my primary school days that's comes with a bigggg machine in the name of camera, the positioning to snap us will take one hour for one person but this days technology has made photography more interesting and easy.
