Steemit is a social media and blockchain or site that reward users with cryptocurrency steem for publishing great content on the site. Like uploading articles, images, commentary and so on. Users equally get rewarded by up-voting popular content and through sourcing. Here user determined whether to be voted half steem power and half steem dollar or they can their reward at 100% for SP (steem power). This is a free website and each post is achieved in 7 days and users are rewarded in steem. Note; not all post are rewarded, reward is base on the content of ur post. Because of this rewards, some users my want to have multiple accounts which is prohibited in the blockchain, and if such user is found, he will be down voted.
At the point of registration, each user is given a Private keys which will help him/her in performing transactions to another blockchain. The implication is that, if a user loose his private keys, he cannot recover it. So it is advicible to keep it save.
The company is based in New York City and has it headquarters in Virginia. This is a privately hold company and it's owned by Steemit Inc.

How to earn in steem
How to earn in steem is not far fetch. As its mentioned in the introduction section of this post. The way a user can earn is by uploading good contents like articles, images, up-voting other users post and comment. You can equally post latest news on net but make sure u include the source of the information. A user can still buy steem on the steemit blockchain and when the price increased, he sell and make returns. Infact there are different ways a user earns on the platform. For example at the sand of 7 days when the post reward is achieved, a user earns in Tron, SDB (steem Dollar), steem and Steem Power (SP).
