Hello my wonderful people, is @joykal01 and it's my pleasure to be here today and also share with you what I experience in the bank today. So let's get the gist.
I lost my ATM card about six months ago. I felt reluctant to go to the bank to obtain a new one. Because of the long queue that is usually in the bank, I decided not to go, because I don't want to waist much time in any place. Time is money.
I have not been using my ATM because I have been using my bank mobile app and I don't normally leave huge amount of money into my account for fear of losing it through hackers. I went to first bank plc, located at Ikot-ekpene road, Ogborhill, Aba.
I actually know very well the season we are into now. I had to rise up as early as six o'clock in the morning, did some home chores. I got to the bank by eight o'clock. When I got there, there were many on the queue already. I did not feel dismayed. I courageously walked straight to the main entrance of the bank. Before you are allowed to enter, you are to put on the face mask. Every body is already on face mask. I bought one at the gate before entering the Bank. Although I kept it in my bag. I joined the queue waiting for the security man to let us in. Due to my comportment, I looked very seriously. He looked at my face, after looking at the me, he ordered me to get in.
When I entered, see crowd! I thought I came early, never knew there were people that had been there since seven o'clock. The first thing I did was to find a vacant seat to arrange my self before going to the customer service care.
I roved around my eye, saw that many were sitting quietly in anticipation to be called for their turn. I asked myself. How do I start. Without waisting much time. I moved straight to the customer service care section. When I got there. I asked the lady working on a computer where I can collect my ATM. She told me to go outside and meet the security to show me where I can collect a form with which to fill before coming to her desk.
I went outside again, requested for the form, he directed me to the box. I collected the form and filled it accordingly. I was a little bit confused on the filling of the form because in the form there is a space meant for someone that has already collected his/her ATM to write "collected by me." Ah, I said to myself, I have not collected any card, I don't have to fill it. I took the form back to that lady, she said I have to fill it so that it can serve as if I have collected it because there is no form to fill after having collected my ATM. I filled it.

That same lady told me to take it to another person at the counter so that he will issue the card for me. I took it there. The staff told me to sit down and wait until I'm called because there were other people that came before me. I sat again. It was not too long, I was called over the counter. He told me to fill the tick cover note book with my details - my account no, account name, date,band phone number. He told me to place my right tomb on a card reader, which I did. After filling it, I was asked to go to the service care section to bring about four documents sent on a LaserJet printer. I moved snaply collected tjem, thejandled it over to him. He brought out my ATM card and handed it to me.
It did not end there. I was told to go back to service center section to activate and choose my PIN code. I moved straight back to that lady again. She then ordered me to slot my ATM card in that teller machine then she told me to type my desired pin code, which I die.. Do you know the worst thing? - that waisting of time syndrome came again to play a role. She told me to exercise patience that network is disturbing.
Do you know that I waited for over one hour, there was no network. She told everyone to form a queue because people that were directed to her table were becoming many. I quickly rush to the front line waiting for the card to be activated.
Finally, network was restored and every processing activities continued, then my ATM was ready. I was so happy. I collected it from that machine and left for my home after thanking her.
Word of Advice.
I advice and suggest for any one in life to be patient enough if you want to
Obtain an important documents. No hurry in life. Be organized and be serious about your objective. Throw fears away, don't prejudge. If not that I was bold and opmistic, I wouldnt have made it at the bank today beclouding my mind that there would be crowd and long queue at the bank, then probably relaxed back. My aim would have been defeated. But I finally Achieve my goal of collecting my ATM card.

Hello @joykal01, your patience and optimism really worked out in this instance, that's quite commendable, especially are these qualities very important to us when we're under any sort of pressure needing assistance from others. The most interesting aspect of your narrative is that despite all the delays and challenges you experienced in the bank, you were able to collect your ATM card at last, in fact, you had a successful outing that day.

Today's bank problem was not only you, i suffered the same to the extent that my gallon of fuel was sized at the filling station because I had no cash and there is no network in all the banks
