Hello fellow Stemians. Happy Monday stay at home in Nigeria, SouthEast - Abia State.

I am delighted to narrate how I enjoyed the Monday stay at home today. It was as if all hope is lost when it was announced that we shall be sitting at home by Indeginous People of Biafra (IPOB) but it it turns out for me to be a blessing.

I woke up early in the morning, around 5 a.m. sound and hectic. Set my prayers, considered my morning Bible test

I went into my kitchen to prepare our breakfast which was patatoes and unripe plantain with source. Washed the last night dishes. I remembered I soaked some clothes for rinsing because I washed them lately in the night, I had to soak them in a fresh water to avoid having odour when rinsed in the next day. Hung them to dry up outside.

I supposed to do some other cleanings in my kitchen untill I remembered that I had to open my shop very early for people who are sitting at home may have the need to buy some food stuff, because they can no longer go to the market to do some shoppings for thier daily needs.

About 7 a.m. people were already waiting for my arrival at my food stuffs shop so as to buy some food. I have already become accustomed to stucking my shop with those necessary things they usually buy. Like yam, garri, beans, especially fresh things like vegetables, peppers, bread and all that, beverages.

I set my movement toward our street where my shop was located. I sighted very far and beheld many people waiting for me to buy thing for their family upkeeps. When I got there, I greeted my customers and they responded with a relief of sigh.

In the Morning

First I started with those who needed bread, sachet teas and then, garri, yam etc.made a lots of sales with gain. But then , it is only in that morning hour that people rushed to buy things. People were so afraid of being caught of being outside their homes.

Afternoon

In the afternoon, I had to go back home to complete my assignment of cleaning and tydying up my kitchen and surroundings. The cloth I washed in the morning had already dried. I took them inside so that they will not be beaten by the rain or intensive sun as I noticed the sky was cloudy. Took a little rest and then got prepared again for the evening sales.
The road is now lonely. Not much people were seen moving around. I had to close my shop then run for my home.

I made provision to buy kerosene, put them in small bottles ranges from N350 to N200 even N150 and N100 afordable for every average persons due to the critical time hard to deal with. This is because I observed very well that some fuel stations and gas stations are closed down for the fear of being burnt down by IPOB members. No shop is allowed to open, only those in the street like mine.

Many agitation arose in the city, people complaining of not going to their own day to day normal businesses, transporters complaining of no passengers to carry. Even if they carry passengers, it will be at a very close distance for fear of not being burnt down by same group.

The evening sales started about 4 p.m.
There was another rush. But this time, it was mainly food stuffs they bought mostly. Things like kerosene, garri, rice beans, candle etc.

I was so happy that my day was actually fulfilled. I closed by 9p.m. really got tired. I had to sleep off after taking my bath.
So happy and fulfilled.

One man's food is another man's poison.#

Monday sit at home was a blessing for me and curse for others, huge success and advantageous for me.

Thanks for reading my storyline.
