Introduction

ShopRite was first lunched in Nigeria Lagos state precisely in the year 2005, and they have opened more than 25 stores in this last 16years.

ShopRite was brought to Nigeria by the south Africans, but currently ShopRite is being owned by Nigerians, they deal on household appliances, food items, fruits, groceries and so many other things.

So let's walk around the shoprite branch at Adeniran Ogunsanya.

ShopRite in sections

Tin peak milk and hollandia milk

In ShopRite you see variety of milk with different sizes and prices, you will also see baby milks that are affordable.

Tin liquid peak milk is sold for 199 naira equivalent to 1.5steems .
Powdered peak milk 380g is sold for 2500 naira
Powered peak milk refill 380g is sold for 2000 naira.

I prefer buying the refilled because it is cheaper and large in quantity.

Golden moon section

Golden moon is a cereal that many family enjoy for breakfast or otherwise, so it is a daily need in many family, and it has many sizes with different prices.
Golden moon 450g is sold for 954 naira and many families can consume it in two days.

Sweet of different types.

This is very important to families that has little children even adults because sometimes you as an adult might need to enjoy something sweet.

A pack of 25g is been sold for 1599 naira.
While some packs are sold for 500naira so it depends on what you want for your family.

Butchery section

ShopRite sells fresh meats both goat meat, cow meat, and fowl but unfortunately when I want to shop they had non.

Underwear section

ShopRite sells quality under wears both they a bit expensive, they sell both meal and female.

Lux T-shirt by 3 pieces in a pack is sold for 4199 naira.
Lux boxer by 3 pieces in a pack is sold for 4499 naira
Woven boxers by 3 in a pack is sold for 3499 naira.
Lux is more expensive because it is a good product that last longer than other companies.

My rating for ShopRite

I will actually rate ShopRite 8/10 because of the following reasons;

Quality;

When it comes to quality and ranging, ShopRite is perfect, they sell quality goods and well verified goods.
They sell classic and unique items not anyhow items like a roadside shop.
ShopRite bread and fruits are always fresh.

Price situation;

ShopRite is far more better than other bigs shops in Nigeria when it comes to Price range, they have some discount and they offer some companies coupon cards with this they make more money from the business.

Facility situation.(well ventilated)

Just look at the space in the above picture you will see that ShopRite has much space and will have more ventilation than other smaller shops.
Most people love visiting a spacious market where there is no clustering of customers.

Things I bought

I bought some groceries and toiletries, I also took my time to work around and check for prices of some goods.

My shopping cost me 9,990 naira.

Conclusion

ShopRite has been a successful firm because they have been in existence since the year 1979 and they have grown up so wide and are still growing, they have gained people's trust and confidence, they have more than 2000 stores across Africa

ShopRite has created employment opportunities for more than 150 men and women across Africa.
