Hypatia is not popular and her story is more tragic. Her life was cut short. Well this show that genius can also be hereos and either alive or dead they are still recognised.

hypatia was born in ancient day Egypt 370 AD, as a daugther of a mathematician by name theon Alexander.
Theon headed a school called "Mouseion" (highly conservative and prestigious)

hypatia Aside her intellectual gift was address as a very beautiful woman. Very fair to look upon.
Though her time of birth has been widely argued by schoolars around the world but majority decided to pick 370 AD.

Career

She was a Neoplatonist who rejected the teachings of Lamblichus and fully accepted the original Neoplatonism by Plotinus.

She lectured ( on plato and Aristotle) at the Alexandrain school which was as at that time placed second only to Athens as the capital of philosophy of the Greco Roman World.

Just like her father was extraordinary. She was an exceptioner astronomer who did more her father in mathematics.

She refused to get married and remained a virgin till death.

She was seen as a philosophy martyrs, in Alenxandrai.
On the street on day an angry mob attacked her on a carriage and beat her to death. A lot of people did not accept her teaches and many men saw her a proud and arrogant because of her refusal to get married.

She was the first woman who studied and thought mathematics, astronomy and phylisophy.
