My Diary Game//12.07.2021//SteemAlive One Year Anniversary
It was exactly one year ago (12.07.2020) that few highly energetic and capacitated individuals who were pregnant with ideas, visions and dreams gave birth to a community called SteemAlive on the Steemit social media platform which runs on the infrastructure of STEEM Blockchain technology.
Mr. Charles Okeke is a wise master builder. He being the founder, knew he could not achieve all the dreams and visions by himself, he incorporated a team of like minded sets of people ( @beckie96830, @talktofaith, @iamdanny, @mesonia, and @dlioness ) as seen on the screenshot.
@focusnow and his team brought to life the community called SteemAlive. It was during the time when critics as well as skeptics thought Steemit has come to the end of the road. @focusnow and his team picked inspiration from that and named the new born community SteemAlive (a sort of "Steem is still alive"). What a powerful motivation!

We see a future where Steemit is the number 1 social media platform in the world. We see a future where Steemit has powered mass adoption of blockchain technology in modern society. We see ourselves in this future and we are happy to work towards that goal. This is our vision.
Our mission is to take Steemit to every house in the world. We want Steemit to become a household name. We will use all marketing strategies to create awareness for Steemit and the Steem blockchain. If we can get and retain 1,000,000 new users to Steemit in the next few years, we would have accomplished our mission.
SteemAlive has recorded a remarkable growth in statistics especially in the size of it's members. It had a membership size of 14 ( @beckie96830 @venon @talktofaith @rexgeorge @iamdanny @thequill @mesonia @samaria @dlioness @harrygwec @smartup @cassieijay @symplypresh @onyx96502 )by the time it was two weeks from inception. Eight (8) months ago, SteemAlive reached a milestone of 1,000 subscribers. As at the time of this report, SteemAlive currently has a total of 5, 104 subscribers from different parts of the world 🌎 including Nigeria 🇳🇬, Ghana 🇬🇭, Cameroon 🇨🇲, and Uganda 🇺🇬.
SteemAlive serves as an incubator for other dreams to come alive 'on and off' the Steemit platform. Below are other communities and initiatives that emerged from SteemAlive.
- @steemkids: dedicated to helping kids through Steemit (founded by @ngoenyi)
- @fur-friends: dedicated to pet lovers (founded by @focusnow)
- Steemit Market Place: dedicated to bringing buyers and sellers of goods and services both 'on and off' Steemit platform using STEEM cryptocurrency as a means of payment.
Two of our members have been approved as CryptoAcademy professors. They're @awesononso and @reminiscence01. Congratulations to them
The 3 R's of SteemAlive are;
- Recruit: onboarding new recruits to Steemit as well as SteemAlive. This is achievable through the tireless efforts of the City Coordinators and also by SteemAlive members
- Retain: there are several impressive activities that keeps members active in this great community. Daily LID reports, Diary Games, Contests, etc.
- Reward: members are rewarded for posting quality contents, also, those that capture great spotlights in their LID reports are rewarded with amount of STEEM ranging between 0.5 and 0.6 depending on the quality of the spotlight.
When recruits get rewarded for their efforts, it motivates them to do more thereby promoting engagements in the community.
Another subtle or salient way through which SteemAlive retain her members is the friendliness of the City Coordinators and other key officials. They're always easy to approach and talk to.
Moreover, SteemAlive social media platforms such as WhatsApp group and the Telegram channels also helps in keeping or retaining members
SteemAlive has grown big, hence, the need for City Coordinators. City Coordinators are responsible for recruiting and training of new members within their catchment areas. It's a kind of decentralisation of power so as to enable effective running of activities.

In my opinion, SteemAlive prospects are:

- More membership
- More City Coordinators
- More initiatives
- More Steemit Promotion Campaigns and Meetups
Prior to the anniversary program, I had big expectations in my heart. My presence at the event fully satisfied my expectations.
I met SteemAlive big players especially Mr. Charles Okeke (@focusnow) founder of SteemAlive, @ngoenyi, @bright-obias (country representative), @whitestallion @talktofaith, and a host of other influential people on SteemAlive Community as well as Steemit at large.
The anniversary has opened my eyes to numerous opportunities for growth on Steemit. I've made up my mind to grow on Steemit. No going back. We move!
