Sources of drinking water in the community where you live/my own source of drinking water

The sources of water in my community is so much as you go to different places, you would see water there.

The water comes in different forms like bottle water, satchet water, and water that is fetched.

Bottle water is a product that is created from a water company. They sell it to end users who need it. Bottle water is popular in most shops around. So if you need bottle water you can go to any shop and order for it.

Sachet water is another kind of water that is created by a company and sold to users. Unlike bottle water where water is put in a plastic bottle and sealed with a cover, sachet water is put in a rubber sachet.

Most times companies that produces bottle water also produce sachet water. But there are sachet water companies that produces only sachet water.

Sachet water can be found in shops just like bottle water, however, it is usually hawked around for people to buy.

The fetched water is one that you go and fetch. You can either fetch from a bore hole, well, or tank were clean water is stored. You can fetch the water inside your bucket or you can fetch it in empty bottles.

The one fetched inside a bucket is usually for bathing, while the one fetched in bottles is usually for drinking.

I don't have a specific source of drinking water. I get to drink water whenever I'm thirsty and need water. For instance, if I'm out of the house I can get bottle water if I have the money or I can get sachet water as the case may be.

At home I drink water that is fetched inside bottle and kept in the fridge to get cold.


Quantity of water should we drink daily?


We need to be taking water regularly everyday because we need to replenish the loss of water through our bowels, perspiration, urine as we go about our daily activities.

If we don't do this, it can affect us in the long run as our bodies may not function properly.

Having this in mind we are required to drink 15.5 cups of water (for men) and 11.5 cups of water (for women). This recommended intake covers a range of things where water can be gotten – such as beverages, foods – with food giving 20% of water to the body.

It is also of note that we should take more water in situations which requires us to take more water. For instance, if you exercise regularly, then it is paramount that you take more water than necessary. Again if you are in an environment where the temperature is hot and humid, it will make you lose fluids through sweats. You have to drink more water to replenish the loss.

Hi @janeo42, thank you for taking part in this 6 days writing challenge. If I may ask, what type of cup should we use to measure the water in other to get 11.5 cups of water on a daily basis.

I got the info online and didn't see the size of the cup. I feel any cup size Is okay as long as you fulfill the requirement.
