Eid el kabir which is also known as Eid al- adha is a feast of sacrifice that reminds Muslims of the great sacrifice Prophet Abraham gave to God- Almighty Allah by offering for sacrifice his Son. This story which is in the Koran is replicated in the Bible, but that of the Bible tells that the son Abraham offered was Isaac and not Ismael. Ismael and Isaac are the two sons of God. Ishmael is believed by the Muslims while Isaac is believed by the Christians (Judaism)
The Eid el kabir is in commemoration of that great sacrifice and step of faith taken by Prophet Abraham.
On this feast, Muslims sacrifice Rams to Allah, divide the meat of the rams into three part- one part for Family, other for Relatives , and for friends as to provide meats for everybody both the needy.
On this day 21st Day of July, which is my birth month, I decided to dress like the Muslims as to observe the feast.
One great thing you cannot avoid in life is “SACRIFICE” for you to make a Mark in life, you have to sacrifice some values to remain excellent, you have to sacrifice most times to live a peaceful life.
As a human, you have to sacrifice bad characters to make the society a better place , you have to sacrifice time to achieve something better.
@steemblog is one platform that has given us hope as social media users that your sacrifice for data, and connectivity can give you earnings.
Steemit not like other social media platform, is taking our content and paying us for them- while we have other social media that are not ready to sacrifice to make users happy. I know soon what Steemblog is doing will pay.
So in the celebration of eid el kabir , we should learn from the celebration that sacrifice is one of the secrets of success.
Since from morning till 6pm, I’ve been at home eating, sleeping and steeming. The Holliday is going down well.
I join all Muslims to celebrate this day.
May almighty Allah accept your sacrifices in this season of celebration and shower you with blessings , Favour and more rams .
