Steem Promotion - My recruitment and mentorship activities

Hello great Steemiains, i am grateful to participate in this Promotional contest organized by @steemaliveWriteAright 2.0In this contest i will answer 3 questions on how I promte steemit.

How did you meet the new user and what was their initial reaction before they signed up?

According to precious, she has heard about steemit before but did not trust it so each time she pass my area she will see steemit banner, as she bought new phone, her teacher said to her, why not join steemit since you have new smartphone now, she quickly remembered where she use to see steemit banner and came to my office,

when she came i was not in the office but in the house because it was already evening so my son came to tell me that somebody want to know more about steemit, I invited her to the house, she asked me questions that has been bothering her about online busineses, below are some of her questions which I answered her before she signed up.

• What really is steemit?
• How much can one earn monthly?
• Are you really doing it as busines?
• Where do steemit get money they pay people?
• How does steemit make their money?
• How do you cash steem out to be naira?
• Ma, are sure this steemit is real?
• How many words will I write?
• What if I don't meet up their standard?
• What will I write?

As in she bombarded me with lots of questions and I told her that some of the questions, she will have the answer while writing and she decided to join steemit, that was how I met @preciou123.

What are your promotional materials?

One of my Promotional material which I don't play with is flyer, the next is my steemit T-shirts, I am a proud steemian who promote steemit with passion, sometimes I feel like everyone in my country should join steemit, I also have banner, like the lady that I just signed up, it is the banner in front of my office that brought her to me so banner is an important tool in Promoting steemit.

What are your challenges in doing promotion?

Many things I should say is my challenge in Promoting steemit but I will mention just few.

• Distrust: Many do not believe that steemit is genuine and legit because of there past experience, they have lost money and vow not to join anything online or network.

• Lack of Electricity:One day I and my team went out for promotion, people were interested to sign up but they were not with phone, when I asked them, there answer was, I am changing it, when I collect it in the evening I will chart you up and they finally chart me and ready to sign up, no network to receive code in their area and it becomes a big Challenge for them to join steemit

  I will show you one example of what I mean about no steady light, I signed up some who said that, they will coming to office to write, I tell you it was not easy for me and them, each time they will write they will come, I will on generator for them to charge their phone to write

  Sometimes they cannot write because of light and they gradually become inactive but I have assured them of my assistant and they will start again as soon as possible.

  • No money to buy phone:The biggest challenge is someone is interested but have no phone, some people have begged me to give them phone and hold their key until they finish paying but let them start

    It is not easy, many people are suffering and looking for an opportunity to help themselves and steemit is there for them, had it be i have enough money, I will buy like 10 smartphone, keep it in the office for them to come and write to help themselves.

    sometimes I do go out with my big power bank so that I will assist those that want to sign up but battery low is their challenge, all of this is temporary help, it does not take them far on steemit.

    In conclusion, I am still thinking the best way to help as many as I can to know steemit, my readers please i will welcome your ideas on better way to promote steemit in Nigeria.
