What is immigration?
There are 3 types of immigration Which is Skilled workers, unskilled workers, and immigration means leaving your own country to go and leave permanently in another country. For example if I @ijelady decide now to leave Nigeria and live in America parmenently. It is immigration.
Tell us some reasons why people leave their country to travel and settle in another country.
It could be the person won scholarship in that country. It could be because of busines. It could be the country is better than their own. It could be as a result of natural disasters.They can be refugees, Marriage can contribute to it.Job can also lead to that
What are some challenges faced by immigrants?
There is nowhere you will leave your comfort zone to another country that you will find it easy to survive. That is why many after some years decide to go back to their country. Some of the Challenges they face are, Unemployment, Tribal hatred, Language Challenge, Accomodation, Understanding the country map, Feeding etc.
Are there economic opportunities or benefits of immigration?
If their business start improving, it will help boost the economy of the country because that is where they will pay al their taxes from water to busines bill.
Why do many immigrants discover that their dreams in the foreign country cannot easily be realized?
There is a lot of reasons for that. Let me use Nigeria as an example. Here our lifestyle of business, shopping, dressing are quite different from foreign country so it will require on that person to change completely to fit the lifestyle of his new country.
Another thing food, because what you have been eating for years is now different from what you will be eating now. Some have fall sick seriously that the money they went with was not enough to care for them, let alone starting a new business so sometimes, they need to change their original plan of busines to something else.
The most serious Challenge is language. Some countries do not care about you if you are speaking a different language so you have to work hard to learn their language if you must communicate with them very well. In fact, the reasons why many do not succeed is numerous.
Have you ever considered immigrating to another country?
The answer is yes. I love it when people come back to Nigeria and spend dollars, drive expensive cars and build homes for themselves and their families. But on my own side, i said if i leave this country, I will never come back.
The country I intended going was Germany because my friend brother was living there and he promised to take us to abroad when finish secondary school. He meant what he said and we all hoped to go there. I was doing everything then as someone who have temporary years in Nigeria.
But something happened that made me changed my mind and said, I can only travel and come back not live there again for life as i was planning. What is that? One day we heard that his brother who was living in Abidjan was deported back to Nigeria. He started life all over again. It was then that I knew that wickednes is everywhere.
Conclusion
Immigration is a choice so when people are preparing to go out.we can give them our support than to criticize them.
Yes @ijelady,this are the only known things that can take someone to another country as you just said.education,work, unemployment and others.
I love Germany too. Dont worry you will still go. You have done so many good things to people. You dont know who might like to take you there oneday. It might be me.
