NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA is a Nigerian genius, she was born on 13 June 1954, she is currently 67years of age. NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA hails from Ogwashi ukwu in Delta State of Nigeria.
Her father was Professor Chukwu OKONJO, the ( ( Obi /King ) of the Royal Obahai family of the land of Ogwashi ukwu in Delta State of Nigeria.

EDUCATION

NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA had her early education at Queen's school Enugu. Anne's school, molete Ibadan and also the International school all in Ibadan, in Nigeria.NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA arrived in the USA in 1973 as a teenager to study at the prestigious Harvard University, she graduated with an AB in Econometrics in 1976. She had her PhD in regional Economics and development from the Massachusetts institude of Technology with the thesis credit policy, rural financial markets and Nigerias agriculture development.
She had an international fellowship from the American Association of University Women ( A A U w) which supported her doctoral studies.

NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA is married to IKEMBA IWEALA, a family medicine physician from UMUAHIA in ABIA STATE, NIGERIA. The family is blessed with 4 children, the first son is an author.

NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA is an Econometrics she had worked in the world Bank for more than 25 years. She is a specialist in the banking industry and the International Monetary Fund of the World Bank that made her to be among the personalities at the 2004 spring meeting of the International Monetary Fund of the World Bank.
NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA had her career as a banker in the World Bank, in Washington DC as a development Economist and rose from there to the second position, the managing director.

CAREER / ACHIEVEMENTS

NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA started her banking career in the world bank, she has been working there for over 25 year and had rose to the position of a managing director. NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA was the chair person of the ( I D A ) replenishment, the world Bank'S successful drive to raise $49.3 billion in grants and low interest credit for the poorest countries in the world. During her tenure, at the world Bank, she was also a member of the Commission on Effective Development Cooperate with Africa, which was set up by the Danish prime minister Andres Fogh Rasmussen and held meetings between April and October 2008. NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA is a Commissioner Emeritus and a co-chair of Global Commission on the Economy and Climate. She is the 1st female and African candidate to Contest for the presidency of the World Bank Group in 2012.
NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA is currently the Director General of the prestigious World Trade Organization, she compete with many top leaders in the financial institutions of the world, including top Asian financial gurus and she won the seat, in April 2021.

NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA was a member of the international Commission on Financing Global Education Opportunity 2015-2016. She was an Eminent person Group on Global Financial Governance Established by G20. She was the finance Minister of the Central Bank Governors 2017-2018.

HER INVENTIONS

In January 2016, she became the chair elect of the Board of GAVI. NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA founded the indigenous opinion research organization, center for the study of the Economics of Africa, a research think tank based in Abuja the capital of Nigeria, her home land.
NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA has been a part of the UNESCO'S International Commission on Future of Education since 2019 till date. She had the oversight responsibility for the World Bank's $81 billion dollars operational portfolio in Africa, South Asia, Europe, Central Asia. At the world Bank, she was a member of the Commission on Effective Development Cooperate with Africa, which was set up by the Danish prime minister Andres Fogh Rasmussen and She held meetings between April and October 2008.

To be very honoest, this woman of notable qualities is my role model that's apart from God and my mom. The genius, NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA had been totally successful in everything she laid her hands to do all her life. Look at it carefully, you will see that she has achieved success at the work place, in her chosen career, she's the best of all the bests.
In marriage she is the best, her husband is well read. He is also the best in his own career, he has supported his wife all the way.
She has 4 children all of them are doing very well in their field. I really appreciate and admire this woman. She is very optimistic getting whatsoever she dreamed of achieving.
She's completely a genius and a great achiever.
I keep wondering how she has been able to combined the stress of pregnancy, motherhood, being a good wife to her husband, family life and her eloquent career at the topmost top together, Yet she is loyal, humble, down to earth. she has ever, ever maintained our cultural outfits anywhere she is found in the world.
