HOW I ATTENDED A DR AND A DR MRS TRADITIONAL/ WHITE WEDDING CEREMONY AT AGULERI ANAMBRA STATE.

INTRODUCTION

This weeding was between chibueze and Winifred and their families. The young man doctor is from Obingwa LGA in Aba while the lady doctor his wife is from Aguleri in Anambra state both in Nigeria. We and the parents, family and friends of the groom's family, left our station Aba a day before the actual wedding day. For their traditional wedding that took place same day.
We left Aba by 9:40Am, getting to the bride's parents resident by 5:pm. Our hosts were already waiting for our arrival. Immediately the occasion took off as they finished welcoming us with colanut, drinks, water and food majorly swallow, "you know na".

THESE ARE SOME THINGS THAT WERE MAJORLY THE MUST DO IN EVERY IGBO WEDDINGS AS THE CULTURE DEMANDS LIKE:

1. Introduction of the families of the bride and groom.
   2.welcoming of the in- laws from both sides.
2. Presentation and breaking of the colanut and the acceptance of the same.

1. Inside house discussion and agreement.
2. Payment of the bride's dowary, argument and final acceptance.
3. The bride's 1st dance and greetings to the in-laws and everybody that has come for the event

1. Bridal change of 1st dress to another dress then dancing for all to see.
2. Bride receiving of a glass of wine from parents and making a search of her husband to be, sipping of wine with the husband to be from the same glass and showing the crowd who her husband to be is.
3. The bride bringing her found husband to be to her parents, both of them kneeling before the parents of the bride to be blessed.
4. The bride and groom now goes as well to kneel before the parents of the groom also to be blessed by them.
5. The couples dancing and money spray from the attendees of the wedding and whosoever that wishes to do so.
6. The couple now seating on the special seat prepared for them for and in the occasion.
7. The refreshment time, guests being served whatever food prepared for the occasion.
8. Jubilation every where because at this juncture, the wedding is awesome and successful and almost done.

1. The final couples dance everyone is happy having fun and spraying 💰 on the couple.
   This is the tipical traditional and modern white weddings in Igbo land. And it's exactly what we went to partake and witnesse in the aforementioned traditional and white wedding on that faithful day in Aguleri in Anambra state.

CONCLUSION

They had a successful traditional and white wedding, everyone was happy and we left to our hotel rooms because the groom rented hotel for everyone of us from a very far distance place, Aba, indeed.
The next morning Saturday the 17th/10/2021 was the white wedding at Living Faith Church, Aguleri. The wedding was beautiful, the fathers from the two families wore same traditional wear for Igbo men "Isi Enyi" while the mothers wore same wrapper design but different colours of their choices.
There was a bridal train, groom's men on suit. Ashobies of their colleagues at work, friends of the groom's parents were on green atire which is the category I belonged. Many other categories of guests were very much available and everybody was attended to.

We finished fine that same day and left for our own city Aba where we came from, the distance is very far, alongside a very heavy traffic at Onitsha coupled with rain, we came home safely by God's special favour by 12:Am of 18th October 2021, which is literally another day but we thank God it was a huge success.
