HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE VOTING AND CURATION ON STEEMIT?

I'm happy to participate in this first contest our coordinator @fredquantum cooked up, trying to know our understanding about voting and curation in @steemit. I will quickly drop my thoughts about it.

INTRODUCTION

Voting and Curation in @steemit is an important part of the platform, infact it is the main financial section of the website. Earnings come from voting and curation.

@steemit as a decentralized application is a very wonderful social media platform that supports all forms of users all over the world giving all the support to do what you think is right and also giving you the full responsibilities, not unlike other social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.

Like it was published in Wikipedia, @Steemit is a blockchain-based blogging and social media website which rewards its users with the cryptocurrency STEEM for publishing and curating content.

VOTING

Users all over the world can vote or be voted by other users. After a good content has been composed and published on the @Steemit website, it is visible to all users that visit your blog. There are buttons attached to all content; like the comment button, upvote and downvote button, resteem button and to publish in other social media applications. If a user reads and like the content, the user may decide to upvote it or downvote it if the content is against the modalities of @Steemit. When a content is being upvoted, a certain amount of money is being attached to the post as per the capacity of each user. There are some users with low voting power and also many with high voting power, the amount depends on the voting power of each user.

The uniqueness of @Steemit also made voting easy, in such a way that each user belongs to one or more communities in @steemit. A community in @steemit is a group of people that comes together, sharing common interests. There are numerous numbers of communities in @steemit, there are communities for photography, sports, architecture, health, etc. A user that belongs to any of these communities receives help in terms of voting from the community members. In @steemalive community, many measures were deviced in order for all members to be supported, even in terms of voting.

Voting is an important part of @steemit but it is not guaranteed for any member but the community try all the possible best to support all members with vote no matter how little.

CURATION

Every user in @steemit is a curator. A curator in @steemit is a member who reads the content of another member, vote and comment. It is another way of making money in @steemit, simply by voting and commenting on contents published in @steemit.

There is no limit to the number of posts a user can comment on, it is as much as the user can. For every post a user curate, the user get a reward for it. In @steemit, the reward for every content is 100% but it is halved between the author and the curators. It means if a content's payment is $20, the author gets $10 while the curators shares $10; it is a win-win in @steemit.

Though rewarding, but it is expected that users encourage one another in curation, when a Content is published, read it, upvote it and drop a good comment.

CONCLUSION

Voting and Curation is a rewarding aspect of @steemit, the more frequent and better a content, the more the voting and curation. @Steemit really care for good and unique content and not adulterated and plagiarized contents.

This is my entry for the contest, all thanks to @fredquantum, the coordinator of Osogbo and axis, I think in my own understanding I try to do justice to the contest?
I hope to participate in the next one that will be announced soon.

@holayemine you have done a great job on this but there a few things to discuss but missing in this context. Knowing that voting on content is just liking the content and the weight of such vote would be determined by the user's voting power as achieved through their Steem Power.

Also, the voting mana, we expect you to touch that part demonstrating to us what happens when you use a certain percentage of your voting power, how it gets recharged, and so on. In short, when you upvote content at 100% each time 2% of your remaining voting power is used, and every day, it gets recharged by 20%.

Now curation, it's all about detecting quality content, upvote it such that other community members can locate such content and benefit from it. Also, you should understand that we have isolated judgment and community judgment when it comes to curation, you can research more about them.

I am glad to have you as the lone participant in this contest and I am sending your reward soon, thank you.

Okay
That's good
The explanation will be noted
