WHAT IS STEEMIT

From my experience in steemit and research, i understand that Steemit is a blockchain based blogging and social media website, which rewards its users with the cryptocurrency steem for publishing and curating/voting content.

Unlike other social media platforms that has minimum amount threshold before you can access your rewards, steemit allows you to access your money immediately after 7 days, from the time you made the post. You also have options either to convert the steem to cash into your bank account or to invest it as Steem power. The later is the best option, and i will explain it further in this article.

HOW CAN YOU EARN IN STEEMIT?

There are three ways you can earn in steemit.

• You earn in steemit by writing quality posts and receiving votes from steemians who have voting powers.
• Secondly, you earn when you vote or curate a post. The author gets 50% while the curator gets 50%. So when you vote a post depending on your influence or voting power, you earn curation rewards.
• Thirdly, you can invest in steemit. You can buy and hold in your wallet and convert it to steem power so that you can earn curation rewards. And when steem rises, you take advantage of the price increase and resell them and make profit.

IS UPVOTES GUARANTEED?

The shortest answer is no. Upvote is not guaranteed. But when you make quality and consistent posts, it is likely that your posts will be voted. However, if you make a post and its not voted, you do not need to be discouraged. As far as you are making quality post and you are consistent, you will definitely be voted.

SHOULD YOU STICK TO ONE COMMUNITY?

You do not need to stick to one community. All the communities are open for subscription. You can subscribe to as many communities as possible.

HOW DO YOU SIGN SOMEONE UP?

To sign up someone, you have to do the following:

• You have to make sure that the person has a valid email address with access to it.
• The person should have a workable phone number. Because verification codes will be sent to them.
• Then go to steemit official website
  https://stemit.com
  and click sign up.
• Type in a valid username
• Enter the person's email address, click on send code. Retrieve the code that is sent to the email and type it in the required box.
• Enter the phone number, click send code and a code will be sent to the number. Retrieve the number and type it in the required box.

• Click on I'm not a robot and click continue.

Then your master password is generated. Take it and move to your wallet. Then you download the PDF which contains all your other keys. Its of interest to note that the master password is used to derive other keys.

SHOULD YOU ENVY OTHERS WHO RECEIVE UPVOTES WHEN YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED?

There is no need to envy those who receive upvotes when i have not, because if i make quality post consistently and exercise patience, i will be upvoted. I also have the option of investing in my steem power and vote others and get rewards from curating/voting.

HOW CAN YOU IMPROVE IN YOUR WRITING SKILLS?

I can improve in my writing skills by doing the following:

• I need to read posts on steemit daily.
• I need to write everyday on steemit.
• I need to write down any idea that comes to mind for future use starting with the topic i like the most.
• If i see writers that i admire, i should imitate them but not copying their works.
• By making use of an outline
• By doing research
• Another important thing not to overlook is proofreading and edit my work when i am making a write up.

WHAT SACRIFICES ARE YOU WILLING TO MAKE TO SUCCEED IN STEEMIT?

I plan of denying myself of wants and focusing on my needs so as to save in steem power to increase my influence and also as an investment opportunity. Less than one month of my experience in steemit, I have seen the sharp increase in steem price.
Again, I will be creating out time each week to tell others about steemit and assist them to get registered.

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS TOWARDS GROWING YOUR STEEMPOWER

My plan is to always power up my earnings in steem. Also I plan to convert some percentage of money I invest in other things, like palm oil and poultry into cash and buy steem and power up.
Just about a month of my experience in steemit, I have seen 20% increase in steem. Steem is really a cryptocurrency worth investing in.

In conclusion, i will say that steemit is a wonderful platform to be part of.
