INTRODUCTION

Hello everyone in the house, my amiable steemians, how is everything going in your area, wow I trust everything is just fine, today i will like to teach on this topic competitive interaction between organism, first i will define competitive interaction, this is the interaction between organisms, in which they content with each other for space, food and mate.
Living organism can interact in so many ways. One of the method of those interaction is the competitive interaction. Competition occurs when two or more organism are struggling to obtain scares resources which are commonly needed.

TYPES OF COMPETITION

. intraspecific competition
. interspecific competition

1. intraspecific competition :this refers to the competition among organisms of the same species. Eg, competition between two male cock for a female cock.
   Competition of two male adult agama lizard for a space.,
   Competition among chicks for food.
2. interspecific competition :this competition exist between organisms of different species. Eg, competition between a brid and man for rice.
   Competition between a goat and sheeps for grass.
   Competition between mazie weevil and man.

POPULATION STUDIES

Population refers to a group of individuals of the same species living in a certain defined area.

POPULATION CRASH (DIE BACK)

This is a Sharp reduction in the population of a species when its number exceeds the carry capacity.
N/B carry capacity refers to the maximum number of individuals of a particular species that can be supported indefinitely by a particular part of the environment or habitat. Or you can simply say that it is the number of individual a particular part of the environment can sustain.
In population studies there are certain values required to obtain they are
. frequency
. Average frequency
. Density
. Population size
Frequency :it is the degree of occurrence of the species under study.
Average frequency :its the divided or average number of occurrence.
Density :its the average number of species under study or in a population.
Population size:this is how big or small the number of species are in any population.
