TELL ME WHAT YOU KNOW ABOUT STEEMIT

Well I'm barely a month since I joined this great platform, before now I only knew steemit to be a social media platform where Users can make post and get paid for it. I was thinking thinking that is a centralized platform, but as time passes by I got to know a little more about steemit, I'm saying a little because I still have a whole lots of things to learn further, from the platform.
But now I know steemit to be a decentralized social media blogging platform that is based on STEEM blockchain which rewards it's Users with cryptocuriencies - STEEM AND TRON, for publishing and curating contents.
The traditional media get more benefits from its users but steemit reverses the mode. That's why I love steemit

Decentralized means that the authority of the governing body is distributed among several persons, so the system is not control by one authority

Steemit is the new innovation in the world of blockchain technology.
Blockchain Means a system of recording information, in way that makes it difficult or impossible to change, hack, or cheat the system. It's essentially a digital ledger of transactions that is duplicated & distributed across the entire network of computer systems on the blockchain. A reference goes here¹

Steemit being built on a blockchain makes the system so safe and secured for anyone because it is impossible for hackers and scammers to cheat on you except you carelessly keep your keys for them to steal it.

It is safe to invest and do business in steemit platform. Also everything in the platform is transparent you can even view another person's wallet and whatever transactions that has been carried out there, all thanks to decentralized database and the blockchain technology

Remember the major crypto which users of steemit are rewarded with is STEEM, as such it's vital to know how it works.
Steem is similar to other digital currencies,it can be traded, sold and exchange in open market. It allows mining but that's not the only way to earn money. In case of steem the currency is created by network every day and distributed to people who upvotes and curate content on the platform. The more your involvement on the platform the more is the probability for you to eat money. a reference goes here²

HOW DOES STEEM DIFFERENT FROM OTHER CRYPTOCURIENCIES

STEEM has three different currencies:

• steem: these are units which are in open market. The exchange is similar to bitcoin.
• steem power: is a long term investment as you cannot sell them for some time, with steem power you can make more money because you have had high ownership of the network. As the system continues to grow so will be your share.
• steem Dollar: these currency value never lowers down or dilute. Steem Dollar coin are highly stable currency and you can sell them anytime. If you create favorite contents you will earn 50% of your reward in steem Dollar and the remaining half in steem power. a reference goes here³

HOW CAN YOU EARN IN STEEMIT?

There are several ways I can earn steem here are some options includes being a
Content creator I can earn steem by creating interesting and valuable contents.
freelance work Networking with the Community members on steemit sharing my passion and specialized skills which I can offer to them, the community might pay me for the services.
Taking part in Contest and challenges steemitblog and almost all the Communities regularly run Contests for every steemian to join, I personally used to join and most times I won an upvotes by official steem CURATION accounts or some other big whales, I earn reward by posting.
Leasing/renting my steem power I can earn this way by buying steem from exchanges like binance, poloniex etc then power up the steem to steem power then delegate it to different Communities which in return they will pay me monthly interest into my wallet.

IS UPVOTES GUARANTEED?

The simple and straight forward answer to this question is no, but one should not be discouraged by this, just continue to do the right thing which is creating quality contents who knows one of the steem curators or booming might visit your post, and that will surely makes you smile. And secondly make post to different Communities, because most of this Community eg @steemalive used to select five quality post daily for 100% curation, and if your contents is quality enough they will surely choose it.

SHOULD YOU STICK TO ONE COMMUNITY?

Well what works for me might not work for another person, so I'll answer this question for myself, and my answer is NO
I explore a lot of Communities, and subscribe to the ones that interest me, I participated in their Contests and I won a lot, infact that's where I derived the motivation to carry on, so if you are a type of person who likes trying out new things, then subscribe to different Communities and challenge yourself by participating in their Contests, you can't tell you might win most of them.

** HOW DO YOU SIGN UP?**

First of all click on your profile photo and logout yourself

Click where I pointed the arrow, then click on sign up

Then a new page will open

Click sign up for free and it will take you to where you fill in your preferred username, fill in your email and ask for verification code to be send, you do the same with phone number, and then click on recaptcha To verified that your not a robot

Click on continue

Copy that password and click continue
A new page will open where you now paste the copied password. Note that's your master password so keep it safe.

After pasting the password click on download pdf and download a file that contains all other keys, and make sure you keep it safe.

Then click on go to wallet, and your profile will open as shown below

You can then click on any of the keys you want to retrieve, for example posting key

And this is what will appear

You see the keys are hidden so click on reveal and a new page will open where you will put the user name and the master password as shown below:

After putting your user name and master password click login, then your password with be revealed. As you can see below:

Copy the password maybe on a paper and keep it safe
Do the same with every other keys

Then is time for you to login to your account, so type steemit.com login in your chrome browser and this page will open so key in your user name, and your posting key. As shown below:

Then click login
Boom your page will open

And you are done, just set up your profile picture and start steeming on!

SHOULD YOU ENVY OTHERS WHO RECEIVE UPVOTES WHEN YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED?
NO, because envy is bad and it's not acceptable in steemit platform. Person like me, I normally learned from people who normally received upvotes, I followed them to know what they do differently and then I emulate.

WHAT SACRIFICES ARE YOU WILLING TO MAKE TO SUCCEED IN STEEMIT PLATFORM?
I will sacrifice My time to learn because the more I learn, the more I will know.

HOW CAN YOU IMPROVE IN YOUR WRITING SKILLS?
I want to learn from great quality contents writer like the steemcurators, cryptokanno, @ngoenyi and many more.
And I will expand my vocabulary by reading great articles too.

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS TOWARD GROWING YOUR STEEM POWER?
Steem power is a holy grail on steem, the more I have it the more influence I get on the platform. I used to power up some STEEMs in my wallet. And recently I've started setting up my post at 100% Sp
That is to say I will receive the author reward for that post in steem power only, instead of 50% SP and 50%SBD.

I want to join in the next monthly Contest called the #spud4steem, on this day I learned that I will extra motivation to power up because I can earn SP and other prizes, I've followed @kiwisfly for this.
Then lastly I will upvotes posts to receive curation rewards.
