Steemalive Day 10 Road Show Aba, was a success (2/10/2021).
Hello everyone, how are you all doing? I believe you're all doing great.I woke up today feeling happy and great. Guess why? We were to out for our steemit road show today. So when I woked up, I gave glory, honor and praise to almighty God for giving me life this mornings. Then, I I examined the scriptures.
I also did house chores: washing of dishes, sweeping, tidying up the house as well. Next, I started cooking so I could eat before going. When I was done with my meal, I took my bath and got prepared for my departure.I walked down to the bus stop and boarded a bus going down to Azikiwe our Aba steemit office.
I was very fortunate for the driver dropped me exactly opposite our office.
I really had been absent for a while from the office. So you all could't imagine how happy I was when I made it today.Normally, the shows where scheduled for Tuesdays and Fridays but there was a public holiday on the 1st of October which happens to be an independent day and a Friday that was one of the road show days.
And you guess what? Aba is always different from other places. There was a kind of sit at home that Friday. So our road show was scheduled on Saturday being this day and fortunately I was free.
Oh my gosh! When I got to the office I met a new face I've never seen @noma12, @marajah my mentor and charter box @samuel20, @focusnow and others that are just joining us. I was given a warm embrace by @norma12 and @marajah and the latter went on to introduce me to noma12. I was so happy to see her. Noma12 went further to explain to me that she had been so occupied with her job ever since she joined in May 2012. But she tries as much as possible to make post at intervals. She went further to explain to me that it was from her earnings that she got her steemit promo teeshirt.
I was just imagining how I would be able to earn as much so I could start promoting steemit as well as having all he right materials for this promotion. So my fellow steemians in steemit communities help me to get to this stage by voting for me oh! Lol! I mean it . and I'll put in my best to post regularly and promote steemit.
Back to our road show activities: we all got ready to go for our road show. Our Banner, our fliers were all ready for work and displays.
Guess steemians where we stood for our road show? Opposite our Aba Steemit office. Yes! That was so encouraging because I was easily directing prospective steemians and pointing to our office.. Which they could easily locate and do the registration if they weren't ready then. So when we started l, we were four steemian in number. @samuel20, @noma12,@marajah,@gladys4 which was me. Later on @ninapenda and @goodnesforeal joined us.
I approached as many people as I can. Introducing steemit.com to them and telling them what it entails to be a steemian. For example, there was a boy who had been sitting down watching what we had been doing for a long time. He called me and asked me to explain more about it to him. I showed him what was written on the banner, that it was a website designed to help people make write, post, on any issue: health, business, culture, food, how one spends his or her day etc. I even explained to him that he can even write about events going on at that bus stop if he registers today. I pointed to our office Because he wasn't ready then. He understood and promised to come to the office, I also gave out much fliers with much optimism that they would later join steemit.
Some of the Pix of my activities.
My fellow steemians were busy as well introducing people to steemit and also showing them our office which was a good advantage to our road show today. @samuel20 was able to register a man, @goodnessforeal could you imagine? That was joining the road show for the first time, got two people registered today. Wow that was fantastic! She was helped by @samuel20 and @ninapenda to register them since she was still a novice like me. I pray one of this days I'll get to register some people as well.
@noma too did her best because we are all working together as a team and I believe together we all did a splendid job trust @marajah she doesn't relent. As she is explains in English, she also does in Igbo with the rigorous effort to sound very convincing.
We started the road show around 10:30am and rounded up at exactly 1:30pm if am correct.
Conclusively, we all went back to the office to relax a bit and to refresh ourselves. Courtesy of @Steemalive, @samuel20,@focusnow,@ninapenda,@marajah.
But by the time we got to the office it had been filled up by other steemians. Ranging from @chigold1, @ruggedangel, @jokkystar, @osolife, @ready247,@humblesoul & @goodnessforeal
Yes it isn't easy to entertain us with the high cost of living. But they haven't relented no matter how small we are greatful.
Less I forget we had a little lecture after that from Mr. Charles @focusnow, and Mr. Sammy @samuel20.
They discussed with us about the way forward in steemit business which is a block chain that needs full support of the team from all angle.
We all made an introduction of ourselves before we started as I states their user names above before we continued the lecture.
Mr. Charles spoke about registering at least 1 person every road show day. Making 2 per week and helping them to make an introduction post would really be encouraging and there's a price for that as well.
He encouraged each and every one to try and participate in all the road shows as well as to make meaningful post per week, and we all know what that means fellow steemians.
After the deliberation, everyone started leaving one after another. I met some steemians to help me out with some issues I was having. It was settled after a short while. I left when I was almost tired....
Thank you all for going through my post.
