INTRODUCTION

Good day wonderful steemians! I trust you are having a great time on this wonderful platform. I will be thrilling you all with my wonderful experience on some basic activities I carried out myself.

Today on the diary game, I will be sharing with you how gave my client a commendable and satisfactory service yesterday the 19th day of November 2021, with my graphic skills which you all will find exciting and interesting because I am an experienced graphic designer.

MORNING

I woke up early to the sound of my alarm which programmed to ring at 5:00 AM. I observed my usual morning devotion and got back to bed to have a nap which will last up to 30 more minutes before I will step out of my room to brush my teeth and plan out the schedule for the day. Schedule for the day was not going to be hard to plan out as I have gotten a couple of jobs to deliver to my impatient clients who were already calling me as early as 8:00 AM today, to know if their jobs were ready.

First and most important job on my list was that of a friend of mine, Tega who is a major distributor of rice and a co-founder of a rice producing company (NURTEGA GOLDEN FARMS). He needed advertisement fliers portraying his line of business which will be used for online publication as promotional content for his brand. He has sent me the information I needed to go on with the work a day go.

From the description of his work, I knew it was going to be a time-consuming work which could eat up my whole morning and even encroach into my afternoon, though depending on how fast I could be. Firstly, He needed a logo for his brand which is just a few months old and then the fliers.

GETTING TO WORK (creating A Logo)

The initial thing to do was to understand the concept of my client’s brand and then trying to create a link between his description with the brand name. My norm is to create two three different logo styles with same brand name and allow the client to choose whichever he or she prefers.

I succeeded in creating two wonderful logos for my client’s brand of which I gave him to choose one from both. He admired both of them and even had contemplations in choosing one over the other, because he loved both logos but has to eventually choose one. After so much deliberations on which one of them was better, He finally chose the first one on (which the arrow is pointed to) the picture below.

Like I said earlier, logo design can be time-consuming and demanding, I noticed time has gone pass mid-day before I finished the logo designs. I decided to step out and get something to eat.

AFTERNOON

After a successful logo creation and the client’s approval, the next step is creating the advertisement flyers. As a digital graphic artist, I make use of Corel Draw and Photoshop for designs, depending on the nature of the design I needed to make.

Firstly, I had to create a bag of rice prototype which will be carrying the name of my client’s brand (NURTEGA GOLDEN RICE) which will appear on the flyer as a sample of the bag of rice. In order to achieve this, I need to create a sack of rice design on my Corel Draw and then export a jpeg file of the design, import it to Photoshop and then complete the mockup process. After achieving this, I proceeded to creating the flyer properly. I decided to use same colours I used in designing the sack of rice for designing the flyer, in order show professionalism and harmony between the brand colours and product the client is selling.

It was not an easy job per say but I had to give it my best so as to satisfy my client who trusts me very well so it was worth giving the entire noon to. Shown below is the end product of the flyer.

EVENING

Being that I spent my entire afternoon doing this particular, I was glad I was able to complete the job have it delivered to my overwhelmed client who immediately acknowledged it and called me to thank me and make payment immediately.

I had other jobs to do in the evening but I decided to push them to the next day because firstly, the clients don’t need them as urgent as Tega and also, they’ve not remitted part payment to me so I decided to take a chill pill, stepped out to get something to eat. This was how I spent my day.
