The garden egg is commonly found in the African region, Contains so many varieties. The garden egg is very popular with Africans in some parts of this continent. It has a botanical name of Solanum spp.
In Nigeria, garden eggs are grown for leaves and fruits. The fruit is eaten raw, boiled, steamed, pickled, or stewed with other vegetables or meat, and the young leaves are often used in soups and other vegetables.

The garden egg is an edible fruit that is commonly cultivated in northern Nigeria. However, there are other types / varieties, such as eggplant, a species of eggplant from South Africa and Asia, and violet. There are so many different varieties that come in solid white color.

In Nigeria, garden eggs are grown for leaves and fruits. The fruit is eaten raw, boiled, steamed, pickled, or stewed with other vegetables or meat, and the young leaves are often used in soups and other vegetables.This fruit is used as food in Nigeria and other West African countries. They can be eaten raw with peanuts or made into a sauce to eat boiled yams or chips; Either way, garden eggs are consumed to provide the body with all the nutrients they contain.
