My Town in 10 Pics : Let me Show You Rupokwu.
Introduction
My dear readers, today I would be taking you all on a tour around my area. You would get to see and know my town without even being here, exciting right? Rupokwu is a town in the outskirts of Port Harcourt in Rivers State. Let’s get to it Shall we.
Picture 1 ~ Fuel Station

The first place I would be showing you guys is a fuel station, where you can get your petrol, diesel and kerosene. The name of the fuel station is Mein oil, it is located just on the main road. You can’t pass the road without noticing the fuel station.

We all know chicken republic, where you can get your sumptuous meal at an affordable rate from, they also sell ice-creams capable of quenching your cravings. Drinks and water are available. Just by the side of the chicken republic located in Rupokwu they have a small chops stand. The chicken republic is new to this area, it was opened early last year.

Evey area has that major market, in my area it is the Rupokwu main market situated at the main and busy road, so it is had to miss. Here food stuff ranging from spices to fresh fish and meat are sold, you can also get plastic bowls, rubber slippers and even hair products as different shops are in the market. Everyday people troop in and out carrying out their businesses and purchase of goods.
Picture 4 ~ Plaza

Plazas have more than one shop, the Ave Maria plaza is no different, it has different shops including a make-up studio, a tailor store, a barbing salon, a plastic chair shop and also an interior decoration shop (fun fact- I used to work there as a sales person before I left for service). There are many more shoe selling different items here.
Picture 5 ~ Hotel

Whenever you go to a new area without family members or friends for any reason and you are looking for a place to stay, a hotel is your best bet or probably you just want to treat yourself out and chill at a hotel. Igoni grand view hotel got you covered, it is a beautiful and well secured place, I don’t know the rating but from the appearance alone you can tell it is a standard and well built hotel. The Rupokwu town is not lacking in good hotels but this one is more known because it is located at the roundabout area, a busy zone and very close to market square. A very good spot I must say.
Picture 6 ~ Supermarket and Foodmart

The Quicksave is not just a supermarket where you can get provisions (milk, milo, detergent, pads, soap etc) and household items you can also get groceries, dairy products etc. it’s two in one, double deal.
Picture 7 ~ Market Square and Kilimanjaro

We all probably know market small the big mall that is in almost every location, well Rupokwu is not left out. In market square you can get basically any household item and more you are looking for plus they sell my favorite sardine bread. The Kilimanjaro eatery is at the same location. I think they are both in some form of partnership.
Picture 8 ~ Big Treat supermarket

The Big treat supermarket is more than a regular supermarket, it is more like a mini mall where other shops are. In here they have a pharmacy, an eatery, a game room etc They also have their own bread, one of which is my all time favorite (~raisin round chocolate bread). If you stop by do well to taste this bread (that is not the actual name, it is also written big treat on the label, but you can get it with that description.)
Picture 9 ~ God’s Favour supermarket

This is a very large supermarket, that also sells lots of household items. Some part of the shop is used to sell furnitures as well.
