Hello friends, welcome to another edition of my recipes where I would be showing you guys how to prepare the native soup (ofor soup). Also I would narrate my market experience.

My Market Experience

I have gone to the market a few times here and the prices of things never seem to stop amazing me like things have really gone up here. Surprisingly they don’t mix their ofor here with palm oil, you have to buy it white and mix it yourself. When I was still in the market it started raining and I had to take cover, I couldn’t leave immediately because bikes do not move when it’s raining.

Images of the Ingredients.

Step 1

Wash and chop your oziza leaf, prep your meat by washing and soaking in hot water to clean out all the dirt entirely. Grind your pepper and crayfish together.

Step 2

Put your meat in a pot with water and place on fire then add your stock fish, dry fish, pepper, salt, Maggi and allow to boil for a few minutes.

Step 3

After it has boiled a while add a little amount of palm oil and allow to boil for a few minutes.

Step 4

Then add you periwinkle and your ofor, allow to boil for a while then add your oziza leaf. Let boil again for a few minutes then boom your native soup is ready. All you need is your garri, eba or semo whichever of your choosing and cold water or juice to step down.
