Introduction

Greetings highly esteemed steemians, I trust we all had a good day today. I invite you to read along as we talk about a very vital issue that affects all humans.
That issue affects both young and old, male and female. This issue has the good and bad sides. That big issue is STRESS we are going to find out [1]what it really means, [2] The types of stress , and [3] how to find relief.

What Stress really means.

What is stress: To be able to understand the causes, and how to manage Stress we need a clear definition: STRESS can be defined as--

STRESS is your body's response to physical and emotional tension, that will cause your brain to flood your body with hormones, these hormones can increase your heart rate, and also expand or constrict the capacity of your lungs. Too much by Stress can lead to several actions, example:

  • Body aches and pains.
  • High blood pressure, heart attack, strote.
  • Impotence to men, and disrupted menstrual cycle to women.
  • Anxiety and depression.
  • Shortness of breath and panic attacks.
  • Diabetes, lower immunity and increased illness, mood swings, and weight gain.
  • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation.

The types of Stress

STRESS Has three major types:

  • Acute Stress.
  • Episodic acute stress.
  • Chronic Stress.

[1] ACUTE STRESS: is the body's quick reaction to events and can quickly return to normal state. This quick reaction can be caused by a new challenging situation. You can experience it, when you are about to speak to a large audience, some professional footballers can also experience it. You can also experience it when you narrowly escape an accident.

[2] EPISODIC ACUTE STRESS: if ACUTE STRESS happens on a frequent basis, then this type of stress is known as Chronic acute stress. This type of stress can be caused by tight work deadline. It happens mostly to professionals such as health workers.
Unlike Acute Stress, this type does not quickly return to normalcy. It leaves you feeling like you are going from one crisis to the next.

[3] CHRONIC STRESS This is the type of stress that continues for a long time. Example is if you constantly fight with your spouse or in constant fear due to high-crime in your neighborhood. In this type of stress you don't see an end to it, neither do you see any way to improve the situation.

Conclusion

In this [PART 1] we have acquainted ourselves with the definition of Stress and the types, in the next part coming up soon, we shall examine the causes, signs and most importantly how to find relief from stress and how to manage stress. I do hope you enjoyed your precious time spent reading my post, let me know how you feel or your opinion on the comment section.
