WHAT IS POLLUTION

POLLUTION: also known as environmental pollution, the addition of any substance (solid, liquid, or gas) or any form of energy (such as heat, sound, or radioactivity) to the environment at a rate faster than it can be dispersed, diluted, decomposed, recycled, or stored in some harmless form.Source

It can also be defined as the introduction of dangerous or harmful substances into the environment.

POLLUTANT: These are the harmful substances or materials that pollute the environment.
Sometimes it occurs naturally for example volcanic ash, and pollutant can also be greated by human beings for example pouring of chemicals, oil or dumping of refuse into the river.

HOW IS THE AIR, LAND AND WATER IN YOUR CITY

I really thank God of my city, cause none of those are polluted, unlike other cities that are drilling grude oil and sometimes the pipe breaks and it pollute the land, and those cities that dump refus into the rivers and those chemical companies close to the cities tend to pollute their water and air, but in my city we don't have issues like that.

WHY IS POLLUTION DANGEROUS TO HEALTH

It is dangerous to health because;

• It increases the risk of heart disease and respiratory infections

• It can cause dead to someone who is really expose to it

• It accelerate aging of the lungs.(Air pollution)

WAYS YOU CAN PROTECT YOURSELF FROM DIFFERENT FORM OF POLLUTION

• You can protect yourself by wearing nose mask if the air is polluted

• By filtering and boiling any water before drinking

• By covering your ear when you are exposed to loud music or sound

-By staying indoors

• By using an air purifier

• By not pouring condemn oil into the drain

• By not dumping refuse into the water(river)

WAYS THAT GOVERNMENT CAN HELP

• By limiting the number of pullutant that can be discarded into the atmosphere

• By promoting the ues of incinerator to get rid of refuse instead of throwing them into water

• By giving out commercial high efficiency air filters to the people.

CONCLUSION

Pollution is a world wide problem, so many people think they don't pollute the environment because they don't go around throwing trashes on the floor, which these is just a little part of pollution.
Pollution is anything you do to cause damage to yhe environment.
