INTRODUCTION

Hello my fellow steemians, how are you people doing today?, hope your day is going smoothly.
You are welcome to Pro writing hub contest given by @steemalive, and i will be discussing on Topic 3: Three or more reasons why I do not Smoke.

Without wasting time, i will now proceed to why i wrote this article, which is discussing on the reason why i don't smoke.

ABOUT SMOKING

SMOKING: These is the process or the act of inhaling and exhaling the smoke or the fumes of any plant material that is being burn.

There are a lot of things/plant people smoke nowadays, some i don't even know the names, these include cigarettes (cigar), marijuana etc.

Smoking is very addictive and also very dangerous to human health.
Smoking was introduce to Europe by Christopher Columbus, and it was practice in American indians for a long time before spreading.

Now it as spread all over the world, and people seems to careless despite the religious, medical argument against it.

HOW COMMON IS IT IN YOUR AREA

Honestly, it is very common in my area, a lot of men and women nowadays engage themselves in smoking, even the young boys are now smoking without even having a second thought of what the side effects will be.

GROUP OF PEOPLE THAT MOSTLY SMOKE

As a student in the University that i am, i have ween a lot of them, and i try all my best to avoid them and not to ever associate with such people, cause i detest smoking.

They group of people that smoke the most are the bad cult people who thinks that smoking of marijuana, weed and all those hard substance will make them tough and fearless.

WHAT MAKES PEOPLE SMOKE

Though i don't really know why because i have never smoke before, like i said before, i think the reason why some people smoke is because they want to be fearless and to have the ability to say what was in their mind without fearing the person.

HEALTH IMPLICATIONS

Smokers are more likely to develop heart disease, lung cancer and stroke than the non-smokers.
The implications are;

• Untimely dead
• Stroke
• Coronary hearr disease etc.
  

THE REASON I DON'T SMOKE

Apart from having reasons for not smoking, they already taught me in school since when i was a kid that smoking is not good.
Another thing is the health implications cause by smoking and also it is boldly written on the cigarettes pack that "smokers are liable to die young", so i don't want to take that risk.

CONCLUSION

Smoking is very dangerous to the health and also very addictive, so when ever you find your self in the group of people that smoke, don't allow anyone to pressure you into smoking it, cause it will damage your lungs
