Hope we'll had an amazing night!!.

Last Saturday, we at Port Harcourt city decided to that this steemit work to another level. It wasn't an easy experience though.
Below is a summary of how it all played out.

PREPARATION

We always plot out our movement in the Port Harcourt steemit group chat on WhatsApp, putting into consideration all the expenses we'll be using up that day. But during the meeting at the group chat, most members weren't active including me.
So that morning, I called @prolee, @bright15 and @amadib to confirm the area we'll be heading to for the roadshow.
I was quite surprised when the agreed area was RSU because it's very far from me and there's always traffic jam in that area.
Well, since the motion is been supported by three members, I just have to follow suit. We boarded the same vehicle and arrived at the school few minutes pass 10am. The moment we arrived, we all listened to our state representative's instructions to move in group since we're outside our zone.
That's when the real game began.

MY PERSONAL EFFORT

Amongst all the road show I've attended, this one is the most difficult because convincing people in port harcourt city now to join anything called "online platform" is like telling a cow not to chew grass.
Since the rate of scamming is rising tremendously in the country, people are now are very concious of the word "online".

The first guy I met never showed any interest in what I was saying to him because I mentioned online. With the idea I have about facial expressions, I understood he's literature and decided to turn things around by telling him that he's not investing anything or referring any friend. That all he needs is time and knowledge to make cool money without scamming people's hard earned money.
At this junction, I saw relieve in his face. He requested that I create the account for him but when he brought out his phone, I realized it won't be able to access the steemit platform. I asked if he has a personal computer and he said yes!!. I exchanged contact with for guidance on how to create and cope in the platform...

The second guy I met told me he's not interested in anything writing..
I tried my best in convincing him to join but he's keen on keeping to his word so I had to just let him go.
I met more person, collected contact of some and as usual some weren't interested.

CONCLUSION

The roadshow is a very wonderful way to promote steemit. I must commend @focusnow and @steemalive for this amazing idea.
One wonderful thing about this roadshow is that it doesn't only help the steemit platform, it also helps people who have communication issues. It makes one to be outspoken which is a plus one for both steemit and the promoters.

Port Harcourt's roadshow was a success due to the great work done by each promoter. We'll be heading out next Saturday for more soul hunting and then when we've gotten an appropriate number, we'll host a physical class for all of them.
