My experience so far on steemit by @dynamicben

Hello everyone, it is my pleasure to be writing my first post on steemalive. I heard steemalive is a community of great minds and i am proud to be part of the community. I will be taking you through how i spent my last income on my achievement1 as newbie on steemit.

About two days ago, i got into my steem wallet and to my surprise i met a sign where i was told to redeem my reword. Wow! Just like that? (Sorry i will not be able to produce the picture of this particular page because out of excitement i clicked it). The below picture show the next page after i clicked on the "redeem reward"

From the above picture, you will see that my steem is 1.034 and below it is steem dollar of $0.582. Now, i proceeded to turning my steem dollar into steem by clicking the down trend which gives the result of several options you are seeing in the above picture after that i clicked on market which takes me to the page in the picture below.

Since i was in the market to buy steems with my steem dollar, i only tampered with the columns at the buying option where i entered the totalamount of steem dollar i was having in my wallet and it automatically showed the total number of steems i will be able to get with my dollar at the current price of 0.0848 meaning that my $0.582 will be able to get me 6.863 steems and i clicked on "Buy steem" which gave me the below response where i was to confirm my command

And i go ahead to clicked on "okay" button. Below is the next page where i was asked to input my active key code to complete my transaction.

After i clicked on sign in. Below is the response i got

After the above page i was eager to get to my wallet and see my steems already credited to my wallet but reverse is the case, i had to wait for some hours before my steems arrived in my wallet, What causes it is slippage. Slippage means when your order gets filled at a price higher or lower than the actual price you bought the asset. Slippage could be positive or negative*
My steems arrived safely after some hours. Below is the picture of my wallet new statement

Now that my steem is in my wallet let me show you how i used my steems to power up my steem power.

After i clicked on down trend i got the above response which give me many option and i choose "power up" since that is what i wanted to do. After i clicked power up below is the response.

After i input my steem balance as the total amount i am willing to use to power up, i clicked powerup button. Below is the next page i got as response

In the page on the above picture all the columns has been automatically filled since i am powering up my account and all i have to do was to clicked on "ok". Below is the next page

In the above picture the page asked me to provide my active key to confirm the transaction that is, powering up. And after inputting the active key i pressed "sign in" and below is the next page to the powering up process

Above screenshot is my wallet page and guess what? the powering up is completed and my steem power has increased to 7.998. The transaction is successful.
