The Customer is King
The customer is king.
We have heard it said over and over, but in my years of creating content, I have learned that it is easy to forget who you are talking to and get carried away with the sound of your voice. For every effective message you see, the focus, the intention, and the message are about the recipient, in this case, the customer.

It has been called different things; target audience, reader, customer, consumer, audience, user, listener, buyer persona, marketing persona, etc.
It is always singular too.
The idea is to create something because it appeals to, will impact, and is relatable to that person. If he/she can't relate to what you are offering and see its good, they won't value it and they, most likely, won't patronize you.
I am increasingly loving sales and its relations with copywriting. The most effective sales personnel and copywriters have one thing in common: they care about the person they are talking to.
So, in whatever you say, write, create, build, or sell, walk in your customer's shoe.
Aside from ensuring impact, this also agrees with yet another golden rule: "He who owns the gold makes the rules."

Your customer owns the gold and makes the rules. Get to know what they are!
Do you agree?
Till I come your way with another write-up, I remain @djoi.
Ciao!
