Background of Peter Rufai
Peter Rufai was born on August 1963, from a Royal family of mr Mr Iroka, and Mother's name is mother, Mrs Christiana Roseline Ilamina Jaja Rufai, and she was from idimu kingdom, he had five siblings which includes Gladys, Bruce, Mary, Josephine and Patience, Peter Rufai is from Isoko in Delta State
Career of Peter Rufai
Peter start playing football in his country as a stationary F.C. and Femo scorpions. In 1986 went to Benin where he begins his career in a professional level, with AS Dragons FC de l'Ouémé. Rufai spent six years in Belgium, with K.S.C. Lokeren OostVlaanderen and K.S.K. Beveren, he couldn't appears much 1993 to 1994
Rufai started a Portuguese adventure with S.C. Farense. In his first year, he was used as the Algarve side only saved 38 goals in 34 matches, qualifying to the UEFA Cup for the first time ever. His good work got him a transfer to La Liga, but he managed to start for lowly Hércules CF when he was there, the got into relegation. But, Rufai signed with organized Deportivo de La Coruña the at summer, taking up another African, Jacques Songo'o, for two seasons – this include keeping a pure record in a January 1998 home win over CD Tenerife (1–0),Cameroonian were excommunicated. Peter Rufai help Nigeria to win 65 caps, he appeared twins in the FIFA world cup, he is always the first choice, In 1994 the first appearance he acted as the captain, in a Africa cup of nations help Nigeria to win. In 24 July 1993, in CAN qualifier against Ethiopia, he scored Nigeria's last goal from a penalty. He was later called to his community idimu to be king after the death of his father but he rejected the appointment because of his career, this happened in 1998.
Why I've chose him /conclusion
As a child watching him play as goal's keeper he has been my favorite, he is passionate for his dream rejecting the throne, so far he's one of the best keeper Nigeria ever had.

Yes the "dodomayana" as he is favorable called was legendary. That generation of footballers may not be seen again in Nigeria but we will never forget his legacy especially that penalty he scored against Ethiopia.He is arguably the best goal keeper to come from Nigeria.
