INTRODUCTION

The attitude of gratitude is a force that magnet more breakthrough and open many doors for child of God.

MORNING

I was all set for Thanksgiving Service. I woke at about 5:55am, after I bow down in honour and worship of God for His preservation and protection over my life at that of my family from 1st January, 2022 to the end of January, 2022.
After our family morning prayer, I went the bathroom, I freshened up and headed straight church. In the church, praises and worship was so intense to the glory of God.

At 9:11am the pastor climbed the pulpit and started preaching on the topic:

"Benefits of thanksgiving to God"
Every believer finds themselves thanking about God every now and again. Often, it is almost like an unconscious reflection. We all thank God for things big and small, but what does it actually give us? Learn here about the many benefits of thanksgiving to God.
What is thanksgiving? Thanksgiving in the context of religion is praising and honouring God for all his gifts with simple words, dance and prayers. It is not to be mistaken with the American holiday with the same name. Thanksgiving is also about sharing Lord’s mercy with others. By mentioning God in your thanksgiving message, you can show others what He has done for you. It is a way of strengthening your faith, your bond with God and promoting His deeds to those around you. Most of the time, we do not even notice that we thank God almost all the time. Even the simple phrase ‘thank God’ that many of us utter on an hourly basis can have the strength you cannot even imagine. Let’s talk about what praising and thanking God gives us 7 benefits of giving thanks to God, Even though the concept of thanking God seems fairly simple and straightforward, it has lots of benefits that you have probably never considered. Here are seven benefits of thanking God you should know about:

1. One of the benefits of praising God is bringing Him into your life. When you thank and praise the Lord, you invite His glory and presence into your heart and soul. When your thanksgiving message reaches God, He can reach down and bring light to your life with his mere presence. 2. Another benefit is that you can view your challenges through a different perspective when you are thanking the Lord. Our minds are plagued by unnecessary noise that prevents us from seeing the bigger picture. However, when you turn your praises heavenwards, everything suddenly becomes crystal clear. At the same time, while thanking God, you can also remember that no challenge can defeat you as long as you have Him on your side.

2. Our third point tightly correlates with the previous one. Not only can you view your problems from a different perspective, but you can also focus all your attention on one subject, all the while thanking the Lord. Remember, that Our Lord has all the answers. Ask, and you shall receive.

3. Thanksgiving can strengthen your faith. Thanking and praising God gives a person immense strength they could never dream of. By reminiscing about everything the Lord has done for you, your faith grows more and more each time you give thanks. And if you think that your faith could not be any stronger, well, you might be surprised.

4. Among the benefits of praise, one stands out in particular. Your thankfulness towards God gives you an advantage over your foes. While praising Him, you might be reminded that He hears and sees everything; that he is just and righteous. If you are certain in your choices and your chosen path, you will know that God will favour you above your enemies.

5. When you praise and thank God, your mind becomes unencumbered. You free it from darkness, anxiety, sin, deception and all the other awful things that might be plaguing you. If you really mean what you say in your praise to the Lord, you simply cannot let all the bad stuff stay with you. You need to let it go and remember that God has your back wherever you go and whatever you do.

6. Lastly, but not least, giving thanks to God does not only bring you closer to Him. It also brings you closer to your loved ones whom you are most likely thankful for. As they are a gift from God, by thanking Him for their presence in your life, you can understand just how much they mean to you. And that is exactly why it is important to send a thankful message to God through your thoughts and prayers. Not only is it a way of showing your gratitude for all that He has done for you, but it is also a way of making your life and faith so much more divine. Never forget about the power of praise.

AFTERNOON

The Thanksgiving Service lasted till 12:44pm where, by the leading of the holy spirit through the pastor in charge of our, we were asked to dance and praise God for another ten minutes.

Announcement followed by the church secretary, and at 1:2pm, we all shared the grace and departed to our various homes.

EVENING

I decided to visit family friend at about 6:12pm. When I arrived the wife gave us to meal and we both enjoyed ourselves. I left their house and reached my house at 9:03. I went straight to have my bath and I slept.

CONCLUSION

When you appreciate God for the little you have enjoyed from Him, you see or enjoy more of His benefits.
