Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn was born on July 15, 1606 in Leiden, he is considered one of the greatest painters in history, master of the Baroque in terms of painting and engraving, being the most important artist in the history of the Netherlands, he agreed thus with the golden age of the Netherlands, the peak of the cultural, scientific, commercial and political development of these countries.

What is perhaps most striking about Rembrandt's work are his portraits, both his own and contemporary artists, in addition to his works of biblical scenes, usually in his self-portraits always showed a humble look. The peak of his success came in his youth, his drawings and paintings were quite popular and influential, he was a renowned artist who was admired by the vast majority of artists of his time.

Lo que tal vez es mas llamativo del trabajo de Rembrandt son sus retratos, tanto propios como de artistas contemporáneos, además de sus trabajos de escenas bíblicas, por lo general en sus autorretratos siempre mostraba una mirada humilde. La cúspide de su éxito llegó en su juventud, sus dibujos y pinturas fueron bastante populares e influyentes, era un artista de renombre el cual era admirado por la gran mayoría de los artistas de su época.
