hello welcome to my blog again, am happy to participate in this steemalive contest.

MY HISTORY

am from elebrada, a village in emohua local government area in rivers state nigeria. emohua is a town and also an headquarter. it comprises of 8 villages mentioned below.

Oduoha, Elibrada, Isoidu, Rumuakunde, Rumuche, Mbu-eto, Rumuohia, Mgbuitanwo.

it was created in the date 1991 and has a population census of 201,901 as at 2006, it has an area kilometer of 831 km2 (321 sq mi). and its native language is IKWERRE.

OCCUPATION

the people of elibrada embrace farming and fishing as their major occupation, they are involve in producing GARRI popularly known as ikwerre garri which every one loves to eat. i will advise you to have some taste.

CULTURE

Culture is the peoples way of life. our people like wrestling, i had witness manny when i was growing up. and i think that the major culture in elibrada.

MARRIAGE

ones a woman finds her husband,she take him to her parent. the first question the father of the bride ask is that "are you sure you want to marry our daughter? do you love her? ones the man answer is yes , list will be giving to him, knocking of door and them he pays the bride price.

ones the bride price is paid, you can decide to fix a traditional marriage (its a matter of chioce).

FOOD

the major food in elibrada is oha soup (it a leaf), vegitable soup and the one that is more important and i will never forget is offor mixed with oha soup. check below to see the oha leaf and the soup.

RULES AND REGULATION

their is a village called rumuji these two community belief they are blood theirfore can not marry each other, cant fight each other. also women dear not try to climb a tree.

the most difficult law in my village is that you dont make love to your wife on a bare ground, the female legs must not touch the ground. their is a death penalty for any one who violate those rules, and if anyones dies by violating the rules they will not be buried on the land rather the person will be taking to an evil forest.

those rules have existed manny years ago uptill this generation, manny things has been done to put an end to this rules but nothing seems to work.

SUMMARY

i have succeed in taking you to my toot by telling you about our food, rules, cuture, occupation etc. incase you are opportune to visit my village. am proud of were am from.
