The Invention of Television and How it has changed our lives today
Children like to watch anything that moves on screen or shows. Television has brought children happiness and have kept them busy while their parents are busy with work.
Television
Television is a device which has a display unit and it converts signals to sounds and is powered through electric current. It has a system which allows it to transmit images or moving objects and produce sounds using the loud speaker(s)
Invention
There are numerous people who successfully invented a television. It was formally known as a Telescope. A Telescope is a sort of camera which can view moving images using discs. In the 1800s, these scientists put heads together to make sure that electrically the broadcasted news may also be seen or viewed.
In those years, radios took about 80% homes while there were just a few television in US. The available television back then was using Black and White or monochrome colours until another development in the 1900s.
In the year 1924, Harold McCreary made use of the three primary colours which are red, blue and green. He scanned it with separate camera and screen in a system known as the Cathode-ray Tube to picture images to show colours thus, bringing about the coloured monitors.
The funniest part was that in those days, a television came with its own set with was like a room and has a padlock to open it, connect it, before receiving a better signal with the antennas and watching the channel.
If you ever had a television in your house in the early 1900s, you are indeed considered a wealthy person because a coloured TV cost $1,000 while the Black and White cost for just $300.
modern Advancements
The 21st Century brought high upgrade to technology as Televisions are now more portable unlike a box with flat screens and are more durable than the old ones.
In recent times, Televisions have more TV channels, used to see a movie, used for video games, for watching latest news and getting updates on sports, war, and other events.
- They are more easy to repair than the Televisions using the Cathode-ray Tube.
- They can easily be assessed and controlled with a remote
- They save more space in a room or in the house unlike the TV's using Cathode-ray Tube that portrudes at the back
- They are lighter than the ancient
- You can ease your stress by simply staring at your favourite movie
- Due to its portability TV's are now included on vehicles and security stations to views live and other events.
Are you not happy that technology has brought us from watching a television the size of a small room to flat screens? All thanks to the early men.
