Introduction
Greetings friends. Hope you are safe wherever you are?. Today, I want to talk about a plant known as garlic. Even though you know more about it, please enjoy reading my creative writing.
Definition of garlic
This is a plant related closely to onions. Infact, it is from onions family. That's why it is called garlic onions. Each bulb of garlic has a segment called clove. A single bulb of garlic contains 10-20 cloves.
Garlic grows in many parts of the world and consumed by many people. It is popularly used as an Ingredients while cooking because, it has delicious taste and strong smell.
Main functions of garlic
It contains anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties. So, it reduces inflammation as well as high blood pressure. It is highly recommended to those who intend to lose weight.
Garlic contains vitamin C, vitamin B6 and manganese. It is low in calories but contains almost all the nutrients our body needs. To strengthen our immune system, and also fight cold, we need daily intake of garlic. You know that when the immune system is strong, it can fight against germs.
Another beautiful work garlic does is these. It lowers the cholesterol in our body which is the causes of heart problems. Apart from that, it contains antioxidants which helps to prevent diseases like Dementia and Alzheimer's.
Garlic increases our life span. How? Because it fights against all those common diseases that leads to early death like, hypertension and cholesterol.
It also helps to detoxify heavy metals in our body because it contains sulfur compound. So, it helps to fight against organ damage from heavy metal toxicity.
Garlic is very nutritious and delicious. Very easy to add to our meals. You can slice it with knife or grind it. It is advisable to add to your soup, stew, noodles, egg sauce and other sauce. You can add it to your juices like zobo, etc.
I encourage all of us to continue eating garlic daily. It's good for our health.

Yes it's healthy but have this unending stench... sorry to say it. That aroma of it is hardly unnoticeable even after serious brushing or wearing strong perfume. Very very offensive for many. @chichieze, I like your posts.

Garlic is very good .it's importance cannot be exaggerated. But for those who don't like eating it because of the odour, you can just use it to cook and put it in zobo drink etc. Thanks for the educative post, ma'am

Garlic has great benefits, thanks for bringing it to our notice. My uncle usually consume garlic and this funky smell comes out from his mouth
