Today I went one of the local market's around to buy few food items. But I noticed that something special do enter the market towards the evening. So, I make a review of the market. One thing I found out is that the market used to be full-up with fresh fish, and poeple selling different kinds of vegetables along the road side. Ifa Atai market is one of the local market's in Uyo Nigeria. Poeple from different villages like Mbak, Itu Mbang, Ekpenu Ukim, and Mbiabong comes to the market to purchase food stuffs and other things like clothes etc. Both strangers and indigens are allowed to buy and sell in this market.

The have a special day onec in a week as their big Market day. During this big Market days, poeple do come all the way from Aba Abia State Nigeria to sell ok wears and shoes. Others do come from other cities in Uyo to sell and buy things too. After that day, the market continues to run its daily market routine.

Every evening in this market, their is abundance of catfish, prown, crawfish and other specie's of fresh fish. Those women who sells the fish, do go to the river or sea to wait for the fishermen's. Once the comes back from their search for fish, they will now buy from them and, come back to the market to sell to poeple. Is one of the best fish poeple likes so much. You can see customers lying in queue for the fish. I tried pricing the fish and guess what? The cheapest one is -NGN4,000. (33.4 Steem)

Yam is another thing you can easily get from this market. I normally buy yam from this market. I normally buy yam from one of the yam dealers in the market. She sells a bit lesser than others. But with the world's current situation, the yam as you are seeing it there is -NGN1,500 per one. (12.5 Steem).

During the big Market day, you can get the plantains in bunch from old women that came from the rural areas. But on a daily market like this. You see the sellers sliced it and, will be selling 6 pieces of it NGN1000 (8.4 Steem).

Their is actually tow types of garry in this market. The white colour and the red colour. The red colour means the one they added palm oil before frying it while, no oil was added to the white one. The red garry used to be a little bit higher than the white one. I bought the red one, a Custard paint is NGN1200 (10 Steem)

Cucumbers is one of my favorite fruits. So, I went to buy some for myself and my daughter. It's of different sizes. The small size is 2 NGN100, while the big ones are 5 NGN500. That means with 5 Steem, you will buy Cucumber here.

Location It's located along the major road in Uyo. Oron Road. So, it is easily for someone to stop by and buy whatever thing he needs from the market.

Customer care It's all about competition. So, everyone is pampering his or her customer to avoid loosing them to another person.

Price It is an open market. So, no cheating. You can go to different places to price a particular thing. Everyone will like to sell and that makes it easier for buyers to get at a cheaper rate sometimes.
