4 steps to cook Afang soup, follow it up and make yourself a delicious soup.

It's another cooking day friends. It's still one of my favorites soups that I want to cook which is Afang soup. This time, I still don't want to cook it alone. Please join me in the kitchen let's prepare the soup together. Now we are in the kitchen. Let's see the ingredients for the soup. The are listed below.

My ingredients are as follows

  • Water leaf
  • Crayfish
  • Stock fish
  • Palm oil
  • Meat
  • Maggi 3 cubes
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Onions
  • Smoke fish
  • Periwinkles
  • Ukazi leaf well grinded.

After seeing the ingredients, let proceed with the cooking following up one after the other.

Step 1

Since I bought it to slice it by myself, first is to select the strong stems out from the waterleaf. While selecting the stems there are other leaves that looks like waterleaf but they are not so I gat to remove them too. Done with that, the slicing process continues, slices to your choice and wash it three times with salt and water. After washing, put it in a sieve and keep it in your bowel to allow the watery to go out. See the pictures of first process below.

Second step

In this step all you need to do now is to wash the meat, fish and periwinkles together. As for the meat and fishes, you need to use hot water but you should not be too hot so that you can be able to put your fingers inside the water. Wash it three times. Then wash the periwinkles with normal room temperature water. Please don't forget to wash it with salt too at least 3 times too. Select dirties out from the crayfish, was it and pound it together with the fresh pepper after washing. Put all of them inside pot, add your maggi, salt. Light on your gas, stove or firewood and paste it on top it to boil. Please don't forget to put water before cooking. See the procedures in the pictures below.

Step 3

Allow those ingredients to boil for 30 to 49 minutes. While you are wanting for the minutes, use that opportunity to wash those dirty dishes around. Please don't forget that you are cooking while worship those things. Please check it now, it's done right? Okay, add the waterleaf, turn the soup to know if you can add more salt or magg to it. After few minutes, please add the Ukazi leaf. And close your pot for 3 minutes. It time add your palm oil which is the last thing. Check another image of this process below.

You can still add more Maggi depending on the quantity of soup you are cooking.

Step 4

This is the final stage. Check the soup now it must have been ready. After cross-cheching the test, please dish it out. Since the soup is ready, enjoy it with your Ebba or Fufu. Take a look at my soup.
