"Looking Back". An original Story of a special period of your life in the past. 02/12/2021. Still club5050

Good morning my people, i am so happy to be writing in this community as i participate in this contest on "Looking Back". There are many experience we have in life that little event can make you cast your mind back to it either for good or in regret because it did not end up in a good note. I will be sharing on my experience as a first time mom.

As a first time Mom i had so many experiences which some of them are joyful and some of them were not so sweet. You know because they know you have not had the experience they bring so much suggestions. Some of the suggestions are believes that they feel it works and some of them works if you believe in it. Someone told me that sitting by the downway will make me to have hard labour, i never believed in it and it never worked for me.

When i gave birth to my first son, hmmm it was not easy at all reason being that i never had the opportunity to stay with infacts, so it was a learning ground for me.

The first challenge was immediately i put to birth, i was running my Post Graduate Program with the A.B.U Zaria Akwanga Campus. I had about 2 weeks to start my first semester examination and see my baby again. My mother in law stayed with me for one week and left, i already lost hope untill my Mommy came on Thursday and examination is to start on Saturday, i was glad about her coming and she really encouraged me to go for the examination which i did. So i had to buy breast milk extractor so i will extract before going for my examination and immediately after my first paper to come and check on him before going for the second paper.

I can remember when my son was sick for the first time and i called some people for help the blame i received was not here. I was left alone to take care of my son, some days i cried and some days i smile.

The next challenge is when everyone was singing that my boy was looking too small, hmmm i got worried it was so discouraging but today the story has changed because he is looking so big and he eats very well.

Another challenge is exclusive breast feeding saga. I call it a saga because most times people think that it is the six months exclusive breast feeding that makes children to walk fast and also be smart, but that is not true. My boy walked at 10 months which was so shocking to most people around, he eats very well. It got to the point that i told most people that talked that what is in the gene cannot easily be changed, so its not a matter of your exclusive breast feeding and most of them now have a change of mind concerning breastfeeding. To God's glory my boy is smart and he can identify letter A and Z also he can read from number 1 to 10 and he will be 2 years by February 2022.

Challenges in life will never end so the thing is for us to be strong and face it. Having a child or children is a joyous thing but the challenges are there too. But am happy for everything that happened because they made me stronger and people learnt from it too because if the people that did 6 months exclusive had their baby work before mine they will say its as a result of the 6 mosts exclusive.

It is good to know what you want and also stand by it especially after giving a good thought to it.

I pray for as many who are still waiting for this kind of blessing to receive as much as they desire also for those who are still waiting to be married to find their soul mate.
