STEEMALIVE OWERRI FIRST CITY MEETUP A COMPLETE SUCCESS : BY @CEENDY20 CITY CORDINATOR FOR OWERRI 31/07/2021

One of the major goal of the steemalive community is to promote steemit and the community in every state,city and locations in Nigeria, and the city of owerri is one of those cities. The steemalive group in the city of owerri have put in so much effort in Promoting Steemit in the city of owerri and today the steemians in owerri met for the very first time and it was a huge success.

Our meeting started by exactly 12:30pm after the arrival of everyone in the meeting. But before the arrived earlier to the venue to make arrangements for hiring of chairs that was used for the meeting. We had anticipated more persons to be around for the meetup, but we still had a good number,which will likely increase in our next meetup. A lot of issues as regards steemit was addressed and some of the newbies in attendance were clarified on certain matters.

The meeting began with everyone introducing him/herself , we got to know ourselves better outside the knowledge we already had about ourselves. We also had some of us share on our steemit journey so far and how steemit has been of great benefit and help to us, and also as a way to encourage the newbies in our midst.

For a start we had a good number of steemians in attendance, there were about 13 steemians that we are around today,and I know for sure they were really impacted after the seminar we had today, new ideas, encouragement and the zeal to do better on steemit.

A lot of important matters were address today as regards the recent and new development in the steemalive community.Matter's such as :

1. The importance of joining the steemalive curation trail.

2. The ongoing verification process

3. Avoiding any for of plagiarism

4. Importance of making quality posts, proof of brain.

5. And other important areas.

We had light refreshments of snacks and soft drinks, we spent about 4 steem dollar for the payment of the snacks and drinks. Everyone in attendance had something to eat and and drink while the meeting was ongoing.

We also have some projects to accomplish for our next meetup. Project such as :

1. Getting our branded polo
2. Visiting of school and offices, introducing steemit to them.

These and many more we plan to achieve before our next meetup.

CONCLUSION

We still have a lot to achieve in the city of owerri,so I and the willing steemians in this city will be putting in out best to promote steemit, carrying every single person along and abide to the new developments in the steemalive community.
