Diary - Engaging in Farm Work And Promo-Steem Weekly Meetup by @benton3
Introduction
Who is this kid enjoying himself? This is one of the kids in the steemkids community. The young man is having a good time of his life right now. How did he come to this point. Follow along to see how he got here.
Hello my friend, hope we are all doing great this weekend. I am , what about you? I am using this opportunity to let my friends know how my day went today.
Morning Activities
My day started when I woke up in the morning by 6:30am. I slept a bit late the previous night. It was not long before my children also woke up and we said our morning prayers together as a family. We took our breakfast too as a family.
We joined hands as a family to clean and keep the house tidy. My children always loves doing this together as a family. It has always been a way of passing valuable instructions and good morals to them.
Afternoon Activities
The weather was not harsh, the sun was mild since the sky was cloudy, so I and my wife decided to visit our farm, where we planted some items.
This is our farm. The Cassava plants doing very well.
If you go through my blog, you will notice, that I have been keeping us updated about this. We went to check it out today, to clear some grasses and to get some pumpkin leaves for cooking soup in the house.
I also had to do some weeding in the farm, When the weeds are cleared or kept at bay, it makes the farm look good, and the plants thrive very well. You can me while weeding and cutting the grasses.
Cutting the grasses and weeding the farm.
We have already harvested the maize and what is remaining in the farm is just the pumpkin plant and the cassava plant. The cassava plant was looking so healthy that even my neighbours who lived around their were delighted about it. While still working in the farm, rain started to fall, it was not that heavy anyway and did not take quite long before it stoped.
My wife @nogenyi with some pumpkin vegetables we got from the farm.
Removing the vegetable leaves from there stems. They will be used to cook vegetable soup later.
We now concluded what we came to do, the much we could and went home. By then it was already past noon. We had to rest, take some nap before the next event.
Evening Activities
Normally every weekend, we steemians have our weekly meetings. So we had to start preparing for the meetup. This weekend one of the steemians in Uyo city @ijelady hosted the meeting in her office, so all who can physically make it to the venue came, while others joined through Zoom meeting conferencing app.
Some of the attendees through zoom conferencing app
It was really encouraging to see many come physically while most connected thru zoom. Some steemkids also came with their parents and that added spice to the whole occasion. Let us not forget, that @steemkids community have been keeping our children's brains busy with the holiday lessons. Great thanks to the Teachers.
During the meeting.
Other problems or difficulties experienced by some where also resolved. Then everyone was reminded to persist in posting quality content, reminding them hat there efforts will definitely be rewarded. Additionally, we were all reminded to carry out the steemalive identity process as its members.
It was after the meeting that the steemkid, shown at the start of this write up, started enjoying himself, and he was really good at that.
Those that physically attended
The meeting have enhanced the bonding of the Uyo steemians. That has seen all of us pushing forward. Everyone had fun after the meeting. I Must thank @ngoenyi for such weekly arrangement.
Finally, we left the meeting venue and went home, took our dinner as a family and had some time chatting and discussing as a family. The kids finally went to bed, but I insisted on doing this post before going to bed.
I am happy that I achieved that, and finally went to bed.
Hope you enjoyed going through my diary. Thank you so much for doing that.
Hola amigo saludos desde Venezuela, que bueno leer tu diario y saber que les gusta la siembra, a mi también. Tienes una linda familia y me alegra que los Stemians se puedan reunir por allá. Bendiciones para todos.
Thank you for going thru my post. I love doing that at spare times. I can also save some money by planting vegies.
Appreciate.
