A Make-up Tutorial by @beetees|| Part 1- The eyebrows
Hello steemians, it gladdens my heart when I see ladies on beautiful makeup and breaks my heart when I see some on makeup that makes them look like a clown. They don't know how to apply makeup but still do apply them.
I did mention in my introductory post that I am a makeup artist, not just because I want to earn a living but because I love painting too.
To help minimize the rate of bad makeup application, I will engage us here on steemit with a free tutorial on how to apply makeup correctly, with my makeup hacks.
Here are some pictures of my work👇
This tutorial is going to be divided into 4 major segments which are;
• The eyebrows
• Eye shadow
• The face
• The Lips
In the course of this tutorial, I will try my best to make all segments seem quite easy than they may have been to some ladies.
The eyebrow
This is the most important part of makeup because a little mistake here can disfigure all other work done. Therefore, take this segment seriously.
The picture above consists of all the makeup products used for this tutorial.
- Razor
- Spoolie brush
- Edge control cream
- Loose powder
- Powder brush
- Angled brush
- Brown pencil and sharpener
- Concealer
- Blending brush
Here is a picture of our model for this tutorial, a very beautiful steemit friend, @beckie96830.
Step 1
Trimming
This is done with a razor blade and the spoolie brush. Use the brush to arrange the hairs in the same direction (upwards), then gently use the tip of the razor to take out some hairs under the brows, from the tail (the end part of the eyebrows) such that it looks like a sharpened pencil.
Step 2
Apply Edge control cream
This is optional. It isn't a must-do while drawing your brows but remember, I'm sharing my hacks. You can give it a try and let me know your thought in the comment box.
Using the spoolie brush, take a little edge control and brush the hair upwards.
This will help in sleeking the hairs to the skin, leaving them like this👇
Step 3
Apply the loose powder
This is a hack that has worked so well for me. Due to the sunny weather in my country, Nigeria, makeup tends to break or wipe due to sweat.
To wear a long-lasting eyebrows, dip the powder brush into the powder, shake off the excess then apply the remains on the brows. You don't want to put too much, that's why you have to shake the excess off.
Step 4
Draw your brows
Here comes the main deal, all the previous steps get you ready for this main deal cause you want to wear a long-lasting eyebrow.
Make sure your pencil is well sharpened cause you need that sharp tip to get what you want. Outline the top and the bottom, then slightly shade with faint strokes. Trust me you don't want it too dark, that's why you need to shade it with strokes.
Step 5
Apply the concealer
The concealer helps in cleaning up the brows, removing the excess pencil shades drawn. Using the angled brush, you apply it to the outline, the top, and the bottom, sweeping it down into the eyelid.
Step 6
Blend the concealer
It is important to note that the concealer to be used has to be one tone lighter than your skin color.
Using the blending brush, gently press the concealer into the skin to eliminate the harsh lines and get an even look.
Here is the final look, both eyebrows sitting pretty on my friend's face.

Thanks for visiting my blog, I hope I have been able to give an understandable tutorial here on steemit. Pls, comment if this was helpful so we can move to the next segment.
