Greetings from here hope you all are doing well? I want to share with you guys especially the new ones among us the proper way to get a copyright free image and how to source them properly. Sit back and watch as I teach you how to do it.

Steemit is a platform where images are very important and necessary because it helps to beautify your work and also portray the message you are giving. For the newbies on steemit, plagiarism is highly prohibited so, it is very important to be careful on where you get the images you use for your work. Most pictures we use are copyrighted meaning you cannot use the image without the owner's consent. When you use image that is not yours it is called Copyright Abuse which is very wrong.

Where To Get Copyright Free Images

There are sites where you can get free images. The owner has made them available for the public to use. So you can get them from this sites below

How To Get Copyright Free Images
I will be using Pexels.com to search for a free image what you need to do is to

Visit the website and search for the image you desire to search for. I will be using cat for example.

After searching, multiple image will display on the screen choose the image that you want to use and click on the image.

After clicking on the image, copy the link to the image by clicking on the image and go paste the link in your steemit editor.

How To Cite Your Image Properly
I will be telling you guys how to properly cite the image source you have gotten.

Steps

  • From where you got the image, at the top of the image there is a direct link to the source of the image just copy the link

After you copy the link paste in the steemit editor directly below the image link using this markdown.
