Introduction

Its my pleasure to participate on this ongoing contest which involve discussing more about my city means of transportation,am a native of Abia state and i was bred in Aba my cool city,popularly known as China of Africa.

First,lets talk about what is the meaning transportation,Transportation is define as the act of transporting or the state of being transported, conveyance,often of people,goods etc. And we have three major means of transportation;Land,Air,Water. These are the difference ways of transporting from one place to another,so now am going to talk about two means of transportation in my city and how they function.

Tricycle

The tricycle popularly know as Keke nape is one of the common means of transportation in my city.

This keke nape normally carry four people,three at the back and one at the front,its is an easy means to move about because its so simple in nature,and unlike bus you don't need to wait too much before the passenger seat is fill up. people usually prefer its because of the little comfort its give than the fill up bus.

HOW THEY OPERATES

currently in my city keke always close immediately is 7:00pm,that is the time that the government of the state said is should be close ,so they operate from 6:00am to 7:00pm for a day,normally they use to close pass that time but because of the increase rate of crime that some individual use its to commit at night,they put the closing time at 7:00pm for the safety of the people. just like i said before its normal occupants is 4 people they got there own ticket they must buy for a day to avoid the disturbance of the tax collector or the police,and another expenses they do is paying of small tax for each trip he turns as a moment,so with your document and license all complete you can drive anywhere you feel like going in Aba.

Managers

Normally its can be seen as the decentralize market,so everyone is in title to manage his or her own tricycle without any disturbance,managing of keke nape is individually duties.

How accident occurs

Accident is an unexpected event but one can be the cause of his/her own accident,there was always a list of accident on the road because of many things;

1. Drug abuse

2. reckless driving

3. Wrong packing

4. Non maintenance of the tricycle.

These are the main causes of accident on the road,which has causes a lot of injures or death of the people in the city,so you are advice to always be observance of the type of driver you choose to transport you.

BIKE

Another means of transportation in my city is through bike popularly known as OKADA, Okada is a two legs bike that make use of fuel as a power supplier to the engine these one particular is very beneficial for places that there road is very bad,with the help of this bike one can easily be transport to an individual destination.

HOW THEY OPERATE.

okada is seen as easy ride among my locality and basically each one is entitle as the owner so far you are with the essential document,so he/she is probably the owner and is seen as the full operator of the engine,so no one has any right over another person. They always operate in the rural part of the city,meaning that they are prohibited from entering into the town with bike. Normally they are charge to close by 7:00pm but because of bad road and too much passenger during that time most of them will still work still 10pm, They have Okada rider chairman or boss,who is the chief collector of the tax generated from the drivers,normally they pay 250naira each day as there tax for the day,its only on Saturday that they pay 50naira.
the normal passenger for each trip is two people or less.
in Aba there are many places you can get there different junctions.

Obohia	Akunwanta market
Agu rd	Dikenafa rd
Ogbo-hill	opopo junction
Central	central first junction
Osisioma	beside osisioma flyover

and many other roads too that have there particular junction one can enter bike.

MANAGERS

There is no specific general manager for the Okada riders,each one got to manage his or her own bike,so its not control by anybody.

MAINTAIN

just like one maintain his/her own building or shop,the Okada riders got no one to maintain its for them except themselves,so the maintainer is done by the owner of the Okada.

Accidents.

Bacically Okada riders always involve in accident,that is one of the disadvantages of its,because of the how the Okada is,its can easily fall down as any lice mistake done by the driver,that is why many people have actually lost there life and some are injured through the accident done by okada drivers. sometimes they may throw you inside gutter unknowingly because of bad road.
But no matter what some still prefer okada than using bus to come out,because of where a bus driver will stop an okada can easily pass through.
Knowing the rate of the bad road in our locality i too prefer using its to go to town. Example of the bus that spoil inside water today

As you see above,this is one of the reason why people prefer using Okada than tricycle or bus because of bad road in the community those types will actually disappoint but Okada can't do that.

Conclusion

i hope with the above little description of my city means of transportation that you can easily go anywhere in the city of Aba with this tour that i have guild you through.

My prayer is that one day Aba will surely get a good government that will build all our road in a standard form.
