INTRODUCTION

Hello friends of Steemalive

Great to be back here. Trust everyone is doing just fine?

It's with much gladness I'm making this entry, simply because Steemit is an amazing platform I don't hesitate to promote at every slight opportunity.
Big thanks to #Steemalive community for organizing this contest.

What methods did you use in promoting Steem (e.g word of mouth, social media, etc)

For my Steem promotion, I used both Social media and word of mouth. Starting online via WhatApp I reached out to friends and colleagues. I also shared the benefits of investing in Steem with some.

Then I decided to do a physical promotion. So, I seized the opportunity of the church youth fellowship.

Did you use any Promotional materials and branding? (fliers, Branded Tshirts, Banners, etc)

For the physical promotion, I wore my branded T-shirt.

After message was taken, I was given some minutes to share about the Steemit platform. I explained what Steemit platform is, its uniqueness, the immense benefits including juicy part of the earning potential available on Steemit. A couple of them were students staying at home due to strike. I explained this is an opportunity to grab and do something for themselves.

How did people respond to your promotion efforts?

Actually, the response from friends online were positive. They got interested knowing they could write and earn. The challenge was the time to dedicate.

From the physical/offline promotion, they responded well, except for excuses of data from a few.

What are the main challenges that hinder users from joining?

As mentioned above, the few challenges that hinder users are simply the excuses of;

• Time
• Data unavailability/cost
• Contents to post( from a very few)

Where you able to sign up new users? If yes, how did you convince them to join?

Yes, I was able to sign up 3, and 3 promised to join soon. And when they do, this post will be updated. The three that signed up are; first user via online,the next two from physical.

By the time the fellowship ended , it was already dark. So I couldn't take pictures with the two. Their signing up was communicated via WhatsApp too as everyone had to leave church.

They got signed up today and are all yet to write their introduction posts. This I will assist and guide them in writing as soon as possible.

What are the main challenges you faced during Steem Promotion.

The main challenges were having to deal with their supposed excuses of time, procrastination, data cost etc. For the online promotion , I had to deal with delayed responses from some very busy friends.

Suggest ways we can overcome challenges to Steem Promotion.

• Patience is required here to help people understand clearly what Steemit is about.

• Proper education so that the right knowledge about Steemit is passed to the public.

• With proof of results, steempromotion can be seamless to some degree.

CONCLUSION

To round up, no matter the challenges faced in promoting Steem, it isn't enough reason to not forge ahead with promoting this amazing platform. Challenges are bound to be faced. We will need to overcome them and let people see the reason they should join. No excuse produce result.
Steem promotion will continue to be an unending project regardless.
