Introduction

Fruits are natural plants eaten for nourishing the body. A lot of people avoid eating fruits, without knowing that the importance of fruits in body are versatile.Fruit can be eaten at any time and it can also be eaten along with other foods. The body produces many digestive enzymes for protein, fat, and carbohydrates that help it to digest mixed meals. Since the stomach has a high concentration of HCL ( hydrochloric acid), bacteria is killed before it is able to reproduce so fermentation cannot take place in the stomach.

One can define fruit as an edible parts of plant. Or put simply the part of a plant that has the seeds in it (such as the pod of a pea, a nut, a grain, or a berry etc.)
Fruit is said to be an important part of a healthy and well-balanced diet. Having low in calories and fat but high in fiber. They contain antioxidants ( health-enhancing plant compounds) and also filled with vitamins and minerals.
Is good to know that fruits improve individual’s overall well-being and help to prevent various diseases such as heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke and some cancers etc.Fruits also assist individuals to sustain a healthy weight.

Examples of healthy fruits eaten are :

Apples,strawberries, bananas, oranges, cherries, pears/avocados pineapples, oranges, pomegranates, etc

Strawberries are a juicy, red fruit having a high water content. The seeds provide plenty of dietary fiber per serving. Strawberries have so many healthful vitamins and minerals.For example, strawberries contain anthocyanins, which are flavonoids that can help boost heart health. The fiber and potassium in strawberries can also support a healthy heart.Strawberries also contain thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, folate, and vitamins B- etc. Never forget that Strawberries and other colourful berries have a flavonoid known as quercetin. This is a natural anti-inflammatory compound.

Oranges (Citrus species ) 🍊 are among the richest sources of vitamin C (Ascorbic acid). Vitamin C acts as a powerful antioxidant in the body. This vitamin is very vital for immune system function. It can boosts immune function by helping the body to absorb iron from plant-based foods.

Oranges also contain high levels of pectin, that is a fiber that can keep the colon healthy by binding to chemicals that can cause cancer and removing them from the colon. Oranges also provide the following healthful vitamins in the body like ;
vitamin A (Retinol) ,a compound that is important for healthy skin and eyesight functioning.
B-vitamins, like thiamin and folate, that help to keep the nervous and reproductive systems healthy and also assist in creating red blood cells.

Apples contain high-fiber fruits, indicate that eating them could boost heart health and promote weight loss. The pectin in apples helps to maintain good gut health.Eat them with the skin on for the greatest health benefits.

Is very good to be aware that there is a link between eating apples regularly and a lower risk of cardiovascular disease, certain cancers, and diabetes. For example apples have high levels of quercetin, a flavonoid which may have anti-cancer properties.

Pomegranate or super food as some people call it are high in antioxidants and polyphenols, which help to combat the oxidative stress that can cause disease in the body.
Pomegranates have an anti-inflammatory effects and help protect against brain-related diseases, like Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. This is because pomegranates contain particularly high levels of polyphenols.

In addition to that, taking regular pomegranates restrict the growth of human prostate cancer cells in the body.

Pineapple is an exotic fruit because it helps to reduce inflammation and promote healthy tissue growth.
Pineapple contains an active compound called bromelain, that many people take as a dietary supplement because of its potential health benefits.

What is the work of bromelain ? It helps in reducing nasal inflammation or sinusitis etc.
Pineapples contain manganese, which the body utilizes to build bone and tissue.

Bananas 🍌 are rich in potassium and helps the body to control heart rate and blood pressure.
Bananas are good source of energy, with one banana containing 105 calories and 26.95 g of carbohydrate.
A banana is an excellent fruit to use to thicken a smoothie. Many use them in baking as a natural sweetener or to make banana bread or pancakes etc

Avocados are another fruit rich in oleic acid. It is a monounsaturated fat which helps to lower cholesterol levels there by reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke.Just like bananas, avocados are rich in potassium.

Avocados 🥑 contain lutein, an antioxidant which is important for healthy eyes and skin etc. That is, it contains folate, vitamin A, and beta-carotene
People can add avocado to salads, or better still mix with lime, garlic, and tomatoes to make guacamole.

Summary

We have seen that different fruits have different health benefits. For the best results, add a variety of fruits to the diet.
Eating fruits appropriately, one is providing his body with key vitamins, antioxidants, and dietary fiber. This can have significant benefits for heart health, digestion, weight management, and skin health. We should take eating fruits as something Important and it has to be done regularly.
