The world is gradually going digital, and the effect of it in the education system won't be a surprise but an added advantage to all. It has been tested and trusted, although some people still kick against it, but that is for the development.

I would share my idea on this topic by giving answers to the homework questions, and thank you for having me in this class, teachers. I am glad to contribute...

I would like to start by explaining what we mean by digital. When we say digital what comes to mind?

Digital explains electronic technology that generates, processes, and stores information. So we can gladly say that a computer is digital because it is an electronic machine that processes data and also stores information.

Now, what are digital classrooms?

Digital classrooms are simply classrooms that use computers and the internet to enhance or advance students's learning. It is also a classroom that is fully equipped with technology.

A digital classroom is a technology equipped learning environment where the student's learning is carried out through the use of information and communication technology (ICT).

Like the traditional classrooms, adapting digital classrooms introduces fun and creativity in education, which helps the students have;

• Better Accessibility

Yes, digital classrooms are very much accessible anywhere and anytime. All the students need are workable tools to connect, and when classes are missed, they can always go back to watch and follow up on the class. This also helps them reverse better.

When we look at the traditional classrooms where the students need to come physically to learn, and if you were unable to be there, it simply means you cannot catch up later because it's not recorded.

• Cost saving

Did you know digital classrooms are cost-saving? Yes, it is. Take a look at the traditional classrooms; students need to buy some material, like books, pens, pencils, crayons, markers, etc.. for their classes, and these are cost-effective.

With the digital, it saves money because all of those are not important. All you need is to have your computer available and a good Internet connection. All assignments are done right there, just like doing my assignments here without a book or a pen.

• Good accountability

A digital classroom makes it easier to conduct a class test as every student has their own profile in a virtual system. Teachers can conduct a test and supervise it using a webcam, and each student can be held accountable for their results or performance.

These are gadgets needed for an effective digital classroom. These gadgets are highly portable, and it allows students to go wherever they want with their learning materials.

You will agree with me that there are students who need to travel long distances to be in class, and so with these portable gadgets, they have free access to movement, and some of them might want to study on the go; these gadgets help them so easily.

Benefits associated with digital classrooms

• Unlike the physical classrooms, you can learn from anywhere with the right internet connection, which makes it convenient for students who have busy schedules or others who can't attend the physical classes.

• The digital classroom provides great access to educational materials like videos, discussion forums, textbooks, quizzes, and some interactive sections.

• Digital classrooms are known for saving costs. It helps save costs and grants free access to some information, unlike the physical classes that are expensive.

Challenges associated with digital classrooms

• Sometimes they can experience connectivity problems or devices malfunctioning, which could disrupt the learning process for both the teacher and the students.

• Social interactions are reduced when it comes to digital classrooms, unlike the physical classrooms where everyone sees each other face-to-face, has fun, and interacts together.

• With a good Internet connection, some students may minimize classes to all other Internet activities they are involved in; these affect their learning and performance at the end.
